"Honestly, sweetheart. Did you really think that you were going to get away from us?"
I don't really remember what happened after we left the hospital. I was probably drugged. Hooray, this is absolutely amazing.
"Wh..." is all I could manage to force out of my mouth. I rose my head and found myself tied to a chair, sitting in front of a table, in a dingy room.
"Hey, lookie there. Miller's girl is awake."
I looked to a man who had been standing in the corner, arms crossed. He took a step forward and strode to the table. I glared at him, and he huffed a laugh.
"You don't seem like you'd be the tough type, but then again George did go for you. Kind of stupid on his part, seeing how much trouble he gets in. If he truly cared about you, then he would've left you alone."
The words swirled around my brain like poison. I tried and tried to think of something to say back, but the words that he'd just spit at me, were to much to swallow.
"Leave us alone. He doesn't want to be a part of this, and neither do I," I said. That was a mistake. I got slapped across the face by the man that had brought me in here.
"Don't speak until I tell you to. Do you understand?" The one said, in a cold, dead voice. I nodded.
"George has cost us a lot of money. He's also caused a lot of publicity. We've given him a fair amount of warnings. So as far as I'm concerned, this is all his fault," he said and put his hands on the table, leaning over it.
I simply nodded, listening to what he had to say. I didn't say a word, in fear that I might get hit again.
"Now, what're we going to do with you? That may be what you're asking yourself. Well, Rose James, we are going to use you as a pawn, in our little game. Okay?"
"What do you mean?" I asked. He rose up from the table and took a few steps towards me. He squatted down next to my chair.
"We're going to get you to lure him to us. You're going to make him fall in love with you. More than he already has. And you are going to get him back to America, where we can handle him properly," the man said. I didn't understand completely, but I understood enough.
"And what happens if I don't?" I asked and turned my head towards him. He chuckled. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and unlocked it. He turned it towards me.
"If you don't do what we say, then daddy here, will be the one to pay."
On the screen was my father, asleep in his room. But he wasn't alone. Three men stood around his bed, armed. Tears began to fall from my eyes. I thrashed in my chair and kicked my legs.
"You leave him alone! Don't do anything to him!" I screamed. My hair fell in front of my face to where I couldn't see anything, but I could tell what was going on. He was smirking. That fucking smirk.
I felt a hand push my hair out of my face. I looked up and saw him standing over me, practically straddling me. He leaned back against the table.
"So, you'll say okay? Because if you don't, it's bye bye daddy," he said. His voice made me sick. My stomach turned and my heart pounded in my chest.
I don't want to hurt George. At all. But maybe I can figure out a way to save them both.
I can't let them hurt my dad. And I can't let them hurt George.
I looked up, tear stained, messy hair, head pounding. I nodded my head and closed my eyes. I felt a pat on my shoulder. I opened my eyes, to have them lock with his.
"Good girl."
He leaned over me, and put his arms around me. I squirmed under him. He chuckled again, but cut the ropes that my hands had been tied with. He leaned back and looked at me.
"Let's get you back to the hospital, darling. But first, we need to make a stop. Your hotel."
-
We pulled up in front of the hotel. I waited until they came around and opened the door for me. I stepped out and walked to the hotel, pulling the door open.
I went to the front desk to ask if anything had been sent for me. I stopped myself, but one of the men came up with me. Speaking fluently, he asked what I needed to ask.
I was handed two suitcases. One, I recognized as mine, and the other must've been George's. I thanked the woman at the desk with a nod.
We made our way to the room. I unlocked it and was pushed in. I sighed and rolled my eyes as I tossed the bags onto the bed. It was made, and there were chocolates on the pillow.
Two men had followed me in. "Can I at least get your name, please?" I said as I unzipped my bag. I pulled out my phone. I had 100%. I internally thanked Ian for charging it.
"What, so you can turn me in? Nah. Just call me Scar," the man said. He came up behind me and took my phone. He seemed to be downloading some sort of app onto it.
"Intimidating. Now what the hell are you doing?" I asked and tried to look at what he was doing. He hid it.
"I'm downloading something that you can't delete. It's basically a GPS, that way we can know where you are at all times. And I'm also putting my number in here, so I can stay in touch. My contact name will be Sarah. Just say I'm a friend, if he ever asks."
"I just want you to know, I hate you."
He smiled and handed me my phone. I smiled back, mockingly. He took my wrist and we made our way back downstairs. He pushed me through the front door and back into the car.
"Now, to the hospital."
