It's been a few days since Valerie hasn't texted me or called me. And schools already next Monday. I've managed to keep myself occupied with my new job at the pizza parlor... I feel like this is all  to much.

Monday-new school year

I walk in the hallway with Austin and Matt as we laugh and joke about stupid things. " woah. Valerie you look.wow." I hear a guy tell Val as I stop walking and laughing as Austin says "Matthew bro it's the first day no problems" I turn around and go up to the guy and say"what in the hell! Stay away from my girl!" The guy buffs up and turns around stiffly and looks at me as Valerie says " Matthew calm down" I ignore her as the other guy says " or what?!" I make a fist and hold it down to my side. " listen man I don't want trouble. All I'm sayin is leave her alone!" The guy laughs and says "you ain't fouling nobody pizza boy" he laughs and walks with his group.

Valerie slams her locker door shut and says " Matthew I told you leave me alone!". She walks passed me and bumps  into my shoulder.Leaving me there in my own guilt and anger.

"Well who in the hell is that guy?" Matt says as he looks at the guy that was talking to Valerie this morning. I shove jello in my mouth and say with a mouth full "the hell I know! But he knows that I work at the pizza parlor" Austin shoves his fork into his spaghetti and says "well I guess we will find out in athletics".

Coach Gardner makes us all line up in a line. "When I call your name step up and come claim your football number" I stand still and wait for him to call mine until I hear coach say "Adrian" and the same guy that was talking to Val steps up. " I'll take number 20" coach tosses him his jersey and he walks off. "Matthew" I walk up to coach and pick a random number. ( this guy is not gonna like me when I'm done with him!) I think.

Friday after football practice I'm coming out of the locker room when I see Valerie at the corner of my eye leaning on on a locker and Adrian hovering over her with his arm on one side. She laughs while he leans in close and says something. ( what the hell?  Val baby what are you doing?) I think.

After I leave the locker room I go wait for matt and Austin at the parking lot. "Dude we just saw that guy Adrian and Valerie talking to each other in the hallway" Matt says I just ignore him and continue to walk.

Friday I get invited to Shanes birthday party and we all smoke and drink and just be dumb teenagers as usual. I know Adrian is here  and so is Valerie. I walk towards the kitchen to grab a beer when I see Adrian kissing Val.... my heart  almost stops and I get short of breath. My eyes go wide. My stomach gets in knots...

I walk over to them fast and shout "what the hell val! What are you doing?!!!" They pull away from eachother as Adrian looks at me and says " well if it ain't dough boys pizza boi"  he laughs as Valerie leans on his side. She smiles and looks at Adrian only not answering my question. I again ignore him and shout again "Val! Answer me! Your my girlfriend...and I don't wanna lose you!!!" Adrian says " bro calm down she said I'm better then you'll ever be" Valerie laughs maybe because she's drunk and says " Matthew I'm not yours and you know it...plus.me and Adrian... we've already fucked" she laughs some more as I feel my head start to hurt and my body get hot like if the sun was right in front of me and I leap for it.

I push Adrian and knock him to the ground with me on him. He punches me hitting my cheek as I think fast and punch him back on the nose. Matt and Austin  try to pull me off of him but I can't stop it's like I won't stop until I think he's had enough ad everyone else watches this go down I can hear Valerie shout " Matthew!.... baby stop!!!" My ears ring to the word baby and I look down at Adrian and he suddenly throws me off of him and he says while he picks blood from his nose " yeah pizza boy stop!" I quickly get up and say " shut the hell up you bastard!" He leans in and says closely " square up pizza boi" ✊🏽👊🏽🤜🏽... I get prepared to fight his guy only for Val. All for her. Just for her. Adrian throw a punch as I doge  it and swing my fist and hit him on his mouth.... when he suddenly says " I screwed your girl pizza boi... what are you gonna do... nothing is what it seems... here-" he says as he grabs a pair  from Shane's moms fruit bowl and two basketballs on the floor... " you may these I mean cause from what I can tell you do." I tense up and say " shut the hell up bitch! You proly need this pair cause you don't got one and second of all you don't have balls either I'm guessing since your such a pussy and don't wanna fight" he gets pissed off and leaps for it. I grab him by his shirt and throw him to the ground. And just as I am about to bend down and punch the crap out of him when the boys Austin and Matt pull me away fast. Austin says " Matthew bro calm down. You don't need to do this" I take deep breaths in and let them out tying to calm down. But instead I leave I just go out the front door as I hear Valerie call my name out. But I ignore her and get in my car pissed off.

I drive off nearly at my house just at one stop sign when a damn cop  flashes there lights and there damn sirens behind me. I pull aside and he comes towards my window and says " do you know how fast you were going young man?" I look ahead trying not to be mad and have respect for him but it doesn't work out and I say "I don't know  and I don't care old man!" He clears his throats and says "young man I'm gonna have to cheek you" he flashes his flash light in my eyes and I hate when people do that and Valerie and Adrian all build into me that I'm so pissed off I get out of my car and punch the cop..... my eyes go wide as I realize what I just did. He lays there stone cold out in the floor as another cop car pulls in I realized I just have done something so fucking stupid and all just because of Valerie.

I get home after the cops talk to me and thanks to my  stupid self I have a damn court date. I go in my room and plop on my bed... how could Valerie have done this shit to me again?! I think to myself... I thought everything would patch up between me and her. I guess this time it's really the truth that me and her won't exist anymore....

On Monday morning I wake up feeling like shit. I've felt like shit almost all weekend... I go change into my casual stuff and just leave the house with a little purple underneath my eye from where that dumb ass Adrian punched me... I get to school and stop by my locker and just try to pass my day with my head held high and nothing to bother me... but it doesn't work that way because right when I think I'll do okay today,Valerie walks up to me while I'm at my locker... she leans on the locker that next to me and says " Matthew?" I shut my locker slowly and slowly once again face her. Her brown eyes go wide as she sees my face... " Matthew baby what happened???" I roll my eyes "please it's not like you care and you know damn well what happened with ur little stupid ass stunt you pulled on Friday night with that dick Adrian!" I say ruffly. She looks down and purses her lips and says " I know. I know I hurt you Matthew but me and Adrian are nothing and I have always loved you" I look at her knowing she's lying but I guess I'm the stupidest guy to ever live because I say this.

"Val..baby I'll take you back but please don't do anything stupid ever to me again...just please... I mean I wan to trust you but your just making that hard for me to do." She smiles and says " I know baby and I won't do anything stupid again"......
