how can someone be so blind to a person's love?
to not be aware of how much someone loves you?
or are people just really good at hiding the love?
too afraid of how they will react to your love
too scared to act on those feelings in fear to be rejected
i see empty smiles all around, but the smiles of love
those you can't recognize when they are in front
you don't see the way eyes shine looking directly at you
don't see the bite of the lip trying to hold back the smile
or the lines on the face that never smiles
but you got so used to that smile, that you forgot it was made for you
that person smiles for you and for you only
but i think love works that way
because i'm sure that if you saw the sadness if you saw the tears and the pain behind that smile
you will see the love
you will see the inside of them
you will see the sleepless night thinking about you
you will see the tears shred for wanting your love
and you will see the tiredness in their face cause they have given up
because my smile hides my love
and my tears let you see inside
