Chapter 2 (Part II): Warlords and Cowards

Continuation of the second chapter! I may or may not cut each chapter to segments, which would make each mission longer than I planned. I originally planned to give each mission a chapter with a few additional ones for backstories and such, and it would seem that this story would take longer than I anticipated. Oh well, the more the merrier XD. Also, this fanfic for For Honor would be focused more on the Knights' side, though some brief scenes from the Vikings and Samurai would be necessary. I intend that this chapter would finish the first mission of the campaign, which means this would be longer than the last two chapters.

Without further delay, here's the ever-present disclaimer (sorta):

I do not, in any way own For Honor or its original story. If I did, I would have revised it to turn it into a comedy.

- General POV -

The scene cuts to Cross outside, who watched what just happened, slightly annoying him. He then watches as two rocks strike the side of the castle wall, creating a hole. An opportunity just presented itself, and gave the Blackstones an easy exploit.

Cross: "Charge! Hah! Through the breach!"

The footmen and the captains then rushed towards the opening and once again, the Blackstones found themselves gaining the upper hand, more specifically the courtyard.

Cross: "(Y/n), I am aware of how exceptionally well trained the Lightshield Cohort is. I am also aware that they never follow orders from other Blackstone commanders except you. How you managed to earn their total loyalty is beyond me but that is beside my point. I want you to hold your elites back. I will take care of things from here on out." The Lawbringer tells his other commander. (A/n): The 'Lightshield Cohort' will be (Y/n)'s personal group of elite soldiers)

(Y/n): "What's the point of you bringing me and my Cohort if we are just going to be held back? We barely did anything aside watching." (Y/n) complains.

Cross: "I noticed, but I brought you and your elites as a decisive force if we were ever backed up into a corner. Turns out it was otherwise." He says with Ademar chuckling at the side.

(Y/n): "Side effects of excessive planning." The Warden retorts.

Ademar: "Can't deny that baldy. I've seen it myself, a lot." Clearly Holden did not like the nickname Ademar gave him, earning the second a glare from the Lawbringer.

(Y/n): "Shut it Ad. You're one of the reasons me and my men got practically dragged to this event."

Ademar just shrugs to the side as if it wasn't a big deal, which it isn't really. Holden shifts back his attention to his other companion.

Cross: "I'll make this quick. Just hold your men back. I've seen them fight before, and how they can defeat others in such a short time. I plan to give the coward a second chance."

(Y/n): "Fine. You better not cut off my men's pay for this however." He retorts.

Cross: "Don't worry, (Y/n). I'll personally make sure that it won't happen." He confirms to the Warden.

(Y/n) then heads back to where his men are standing by at and gives them the order, earning him groans and other sounds of disappointment from a few of his elites. Apparently, his men learned to enjoy fighting as much as he does during their campaigns, some of them even seeing battles as mere games and competition against each other, which the other Blackstone commanders didn't have a problem with oddly enough, considering how unpredictable the Lightshields are in battle. The scene cuts back to Amber, who watches as Blackstone Legion pour through the breach into the courtyard.
