The third to the last chapter of Volume I is finally here! I'd like to give my sincerest thanks to everyone who gave their time to read this fanfic! As my form of giving thanks, I will continue to write until I finish the entire campaign of For Honor from my perspective, maybe even an RP book for the characters I and will introduced in the future! Of course, some other ideas for books that are not For Honor-themed but we'll get to that (hopefully)!

Once more, the disclaimer haunts you...

I do not, in any way, own For Honor or the plot. If I did, it would have subplots like an MMORPG :P

"If we were meant to stay in one place, we'd have roots instead of feet, he said."

- Rachel Wolchin

- General POV -

Gudmundr, having survived the loss of Svengard, his home, his people, is currently on his way towards the Epicentre, where the territories of the three people collides. It was there, where that Warden who spared his life instructed him go. Why is he even complying to that Warden's wish is something he can't explain.

He can't go back to his people that he felt he failed. They would look at him, the legendary Jarl of his people, and see him as weak after all. They would see him as a leader who has many weaknesses. That is one of the better explanations why he is complying to the Knight.

Or maybe, it was guilt, that is driving him away.

Warden?: "... A chance." The words of the Warden rang in his head.

He grunts, having no explanation either to what that Knight wanted with him.

But if he were to save his people, he have to take any measures to ensure so. Even if it means gulping down his pride and pleading for help from another nation.

After all, desperate times call for desperate needs...

- With the Blackstone Legion... -

Everything and everyone is ready to move out, either to join the others in securing the lands they have taken with them, or to go back home in Ashfeld. They are so eager now, if not overconfident.

They have struck a decisive blow against the Vikings, and the victories they have achieved in these hostile lands will surely call more to their cause. Legions from all over Ashfeld will swear fealty to Apollyon, which will surely bolster her influence among the Knights.

There are still those reluctant to return, however. One of those Knights is of course Amber Peltaris.

Having lost her love interest, she was having thoughts about going after (Lorderius) so she can be with him again. But even she knows the perils of Valkenheim. They were very lucky that they came just before the winter season falls. Otherwise, they would've sent themselves into a freezing death trap.

Amber looks back at the Cupid's Servant's feather on her right hand. She remembered the message that was given to her, likely from (Argen) himself. This can only mean that he has one with him as well; as a remembrance.

- Flashback, after the battle for Harrowgate... -

Amber: (Reading) "They only leave their hosts if they meet another person who also has a Cupid's servant bird with them. If the birds fly away together, then the two persons who met with each other are set to become lovers."
