Wazzup, people! I present to you the first part of the 5th mission of the Knights' campaign, 'Sabotage' (well obviously since it's in the title :v)
Must... continue... disclaimers...:
I do not, in any way, own For Honor or anything aside from the fanfic. If I did, I wouldn't be doing this disclaimers :v

"When wars end, it is the silent blade that keeps the peace. But when wars rage, a peacekeeper's work is never done. Quick, lethal, they can win a fight before the enemy even knows they're there. Dancers of death with dual blades for dancing partners. Selected from the desperate, the humble, or the devoted. Sworn to secrecy by unbreakable oaths; what they know could destroy legends... or create them."
- The Peacekeepers' description
Apollyon: (Narrating) "Valkenheim. We needed to reach the fortress as Svengard before the Vikings had a chance to respond. But at the great cliff that splits the valley in half, we found our way forward blocked. Fortunately, we had a Peacekeeper, Mercy, among our ranks."
- (Y/n)'s POV -
I sit with Amber along a field presumably for farming purposes. There were little to no crops since its winter in Valkenheim right now. We talked about random things such as history and how we made our weapons in the forge.
However, I momentarilly thought about Mercy. She is more distant than the last time we talked, which was a long time ago. We only have reunited recently, but still, I did not expect her to be that distant. It probably is just because of her profession as a Peacekeeper, but I suspect that Apollyon has something to do with her.
If Apollyon is responsible for changing my sister, I'll make sure she'll pay one way or another.
Amber: "It's fine, (Y/n). I'm sure she has a good reason for being like that." The woman beside me says as she rests one of her hands on my shoulder.
- Flashback... -
Ademar: "302 new Lightshields, (Y/n). Just a little over Thermopylae."
You: "Impressive! We have the Spartans on our side now!" I joke to him with a laugh, although that immediately subsided when I thought about Mercy. Ad, however, caught that.
((A/n): Btw, I mentioned the Spartans because the time right now for our characters is approximately 1400 A.D. based on their equipment [with some help from the Metatron from YouTube], which is hundreds of years later from the Battle of Thermopylae, assuming that they use that format of date.)Ademar: "Something bothering, brotha?"
You: "... Mercy is somewhat... distant as of recently."
Ademar: "Come on, (Y/n). I'm sure our sis has a good reason for being like that."
You: "That may be, but it's been years since we last seen her, maybe more than a decade. There must be something else about it."
Ademar: "Whaddaya want me to do?"
You: "Talk to her. I doubt that she will talk to me, so you're the only one person that I can think of. See if you can get anything from her."
Ademar: "Righty. I'll see what I can do..."
- Flashback end... -
You: "I don't know, Amber. Mercy was never like this back then. Meneth better has good news with him." I reply to her, hoping that what I said would come true.
