I'm Shattered

Do you see the shards on the ground?

I shattered without a sound.

Just one word from you,

now I'm through.

Can't you see I'm in distress?

Weeping on the floor, a mess.

You broke my heart,

I saw it coming from the start.

You walked away while I was crying,

slumped up against a wall, inside I'm dying.

But I refuse to shed another tear,

I'm done crying for you, my dear.

It is time I moved on.

Now I see that you are long gone.

You left me in your dust,

you left me here to rust.

It was an honest mistake

putting everything at stake.

But, now I say my final goodbye,

as one last tear leaves my eye.
