Attention

I hear all these stupid love songs and poems,
How the girl is broken hearted,
How the guy breaks her heart.

But let's hear it for the people who cry for their own mistake,
Lets hear it for the ones that broke their own heart.
Lets write more poems on people lost in confusion and regret,
Lets remember the kids who lose the one they love because of depression, anxiety, or just plain stupidity.

And while we're at it,
Lets give more attention to the jocks,
To the cheerleaders,
To the outcasts,
Because you have no clue whose mind ravages itself with pain.

Lets hear it for the kids who can't speak for themselves,
Because we were all one of those pure children who always looked happy,
Till they were broken for the first time.
