Flora's POV

BANG BANG

Two more gun shots filled the home with a deafening noise. I was too shocked to even move from my position on the bed. I stared at the door as if I felt the presence of the shooter on the other side. Or even worse, shooters.

"GET DOWN," a man roared from downstairs.

My eyes widened at the massive voice that hit my poor eardrums. All of this must be a dream. Getting Kaiden arrested, hearing about all of that gang stuff on the radio, Charlie sneaking into my room, men with guns.

Suddenly, a bulky man with a mask and a gun firmly in his grip kicked open my door and stomped towards me without any hesitation. My heart stopped as I saw the mask. Clown.

"Hello sweetheart," the man drawled out as he tilted his head at the sight of me. I must have looked pretty pathetic. I cringed at the sound of the nickname he used that Charlie usually calls me.

"ANYBODY UP THERE SPIKE?" the other man belted.

Spike? What are you, a wannabe criminal who acts all hardcore and can't come up with original names for himself?

"What'd you say?" Spike asked (warned) me. My heart sped up once again. My sight became dizzy and I started to stutter. God I'm pathetic. I should not be intimidated by a guy named Spike for goodness sake.

"Oh god--I'm sorr--sorry, I must have said that...outlou--" I stuttered.

"HEY FLORA, I THINK I LEFT MY WALLET HERE".

I spun around and saw Charlie struggling to squeeze through the window. He groaned as he strained to get the other half of his body into my room. As he sighed and put his head down in exhaustion, he proceeded to try and pull himself over the window. Spike and I completely forgot about the gang terrorising the children's home and just stared at him as he continued to make odd noises meaning he was struggling. I think.

"Don't worry, I almost got it," Charlie insisted and he continued to look like an agitated worm.

He looked up and double took once he saw Spike. He then looked down at his hand which was holding a black gun.

"Well hello," Charlie greeted slowly.

"I never was a big fan of clowns," he admitted. "Something about them just gives me the creeps, you know what I'm saying?"

Spike stayed silent and raised his gun directly at Charlie's innocent face.

"Ok yeah, now I'm definitely not a big fan of clowns," he said laughing, trying to ease the tension. It failed.

"You sad sad little man," Spike commented. I tried to hold in my laughter by biting down at my lip.

"Hey, I'll have you know that you're only witnessing half of my body here okay?" Charlie defended. Spike and I could clearly see the rest of body dangling on the other side of the window. I can't even imagine what he must look like from someone looking outside. That only forced me to bite harder on my lip to contain my laughter until I tasted blood.

"HEY SPIKE WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG. HURRY UP, BOSS WANTS US BACK NOW WITH THE HOSTAGES!" a growly voice shouted.

"KEEP YOUR PANTIES ON ACE I'M COMING!" Spike shouted back. Ace? At least it's more original...

That's when I remembered the original purpose of Spike and the other gang members being here.

"Don't worry Flora, I'll save you!" Charlie annonced, still stuck in the window. It sort of reminded me of Flounder in one of the first scenes in Ariel where he got stuck in that circular window when they were being chased by a shark. Oh god, that didn't help me with my laughing issues. I snickered.
