"Did you really fuck her?" I asked even though I knew. It was almost too much for me to handle. Not that he might have fucked her but the fact that he just let me think he'd kissed her. He looked me in the eye made me think they had only kissed.
Cloud seemed uneasy and almost nervous as our words began to draw a crowd. "I uh, I don't think that it's any of your business. You and I are just friends and I can do whatever I want," he tried to tell me sternly. Nice fucking try, jackass.
I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "You know what? He's right! I don't even need to know. Congratulations, Caroline. Congratulations on being the whore I always knew you could be," I smiled before deciding to get the hell away from this fiasco. Before I could get away my arm was grabbed. Why the fuck did people think it was alright to grab my arm?
"Charlie! You can't possibly be mad! You slept with Bryce for fuck's sake!" Cloud yelled before pulling be back so that I was standing in front of him again. No, I'd only kissed him but it wasn't any of his fucking business. Lying fucker.
By now all of our parents had come outside with confused faces and worried hands on their hips. "What is going on here?" Mrs. Holt asked staring me up and down. I scoffed and stepped around Cloud, "Your daughter fucked Cloud. You call me street trash? Try putting a lock on your daughter's cunt!"
The look on her face was too much for me not to laugh. "That's enough, Charlotte! You're embarrassing yourself!" My mother yelled from her spot next to Cloud's father who I had just noticed was even at the damn barbecue.
"Whatever! I don't give a fuck!" I yelled before Cloud grabbed me by my arm again. He was holding me too tight this time. "If you touch me again I will fuck you up," I growled at him before pushing him off of me. His tight ass grip was starting to hurt.
"You're acting like a complete idiot over something that doesn't even concern you. You made it clear that I could do whatever I want," he told me as he leaned down and looked me in the eye. Those damn eyes.
"I don't give a fuck about you, Cloud! I just wanted to let Mrs. Holt know how her daughter really is since she's always turning her nose up at me!" I yelled back.
"Charlie? What is going on?" Bryce asked as he stood next to me with a concerned look on his face. I was more than annoyed to see him hovering over me like some concerned boyfriend. We made out one fucking time.
"Nothing, Bryce. Just go back to whatever you were doing. I'm going home," I told him as I tried to walk away again. Only this time it was Bryce stopping me. "Please don't leave. I haven't seen you since that day in my room and I'm confused, to be honest," he whispered. Not the time, Bryce.
I groaned and looked around me. There were so many idiots just standing and gossiping about something they had no idea about.
"You slept with my girlfriend?" A voice asked Cloud. I turned my head to see the guy Caroline had been chatting up with his fist balled up. He was tan and tall and looked like he would fuck Cloud up.
Cloud didn't answer. Well, he didn't get the chance to answer before Mrs. Holt interrupted. "Girlfriend? Caroline! You've been fornicating with street trash all over town?" She screeched. Ugh, someone needed to put a muzzle on that bitch.
Caroline's boyfriend—according to him—was a guy who had graduated last year with Bryce. Jason Vargas. He was rough around the edges and wore black boots and an unnecessary leather jacket but he was attractive.
"Did. You. Fuck. My. Girlfriend?" Jason asked again before getting in Cloud's face. He was too big for that shit.
A new emotion arose within me. Fear. Fear for Cloud. He didn't seem like the type to fight and Jason was known for expressing himself physically. In other words, he was going to beat Cloud's ass.
"Yes," Cloud whispered before Jason threw the first punch. Everything seemed to be happening in slow motion. Cloud fell back as he tried to dodge Jason's attack. Mr. St. James made his way towards the two fighting boys on the clothes staining grass.
Mrs. Holt was screaming and pulling her children away from the scene as Caroline tried to defy her mother and Bryce simply just pulled my arm so that I too was moving away from the Cloud and Jason.
I turned my head to see my mother shaking her head in disappointment at me. I put my head down and took a glance back at the fight and what happened next made me break free of Bryce's hold.
With Mr. St. James failing in trying to get Jason off of his son, Jason pulled out something that glared in the sun with a pointed tip.
I ran back towards the fight making Bryce let go of me. Mr. St. James shouted for me to stay away and grabbed me as I watched the sweet, loving, unrealistically pale, Cloud St. James fall to the ground after getting stabbed in his side.
"No!" I yelled out with tears building up in my eyes. "No! No. No. No," I rambled.
Jason went for another wound directed at Cloud's chest before two men that should have helped from the beginning pulled him off. Jason kept cursing and yelling for them to let him go as Caroline screamed at the top of her lungs.
I dropped to my knees quickly before grabbing Cloud's face. "Ch-Charlie? Am I dying?" He asked as I shook my head. "Hey! You better keep your eyes open, you stupid, stupid boy!" I cried as Mr. St. James kneeled down next to me. He took off his shirt and placed it on Cloud's wound. There was blood staining the grass.
"Son, stay calm. Mrs. Holt called an ambulance. You're gonna be just fine," he tried to convince Cloud with wide eyes that could only belong to a shocked brain. This was his son. His only child.
"You! You nuisance of girl!" Mrs. Holt screamed as she tried to yank me up. I cried out and held onto Cloud. "Fuck off! Don't you see whats happened, you bitch?" I screamed.
Cloud was becoming paler than I'd ever seen him before. That terrified me because he was already too pale, to begin with. Fucking vampire.
"You get your hands off of my child! I've had enough of all you prissy bitches! Charlie is my child and if you ever touch her again I will whoop your tacky ass! Now go stand on the sidewalk so you can flag down the ambulance when it arrives," my mother yelled as she pushed Mrs. Holt away from me. I would have laughed at the fact that my mother had just pushed Mrs. Holt and she'd fallen onto the ground but Cloud's blood was on my hands.
"I'm sorry, Charlie. I wish I didn't fuck h-her," he cried as I kissed his forehead. "Shut up. I don't care about that. Just stay away. Don't you dare fall asleep," I whispered while holding back a sob.
Fuck!
