Avneil : As they fall in love

part8-(Realisation)

At around 8 am both of them went down to have breakfast.

Neil: goodmorning everybody! Aaj khane mein kya hai??

Bebe: aloo poori hai for a change. Chalega na?

Neil: ofcourse chalega.

Swetha: sit then. Tum log soye nahi? Such swollen eyes you have!

Prakash: Swetha ji! Why are you embarassing them? Nayi nayi shaadi hai yaar..

Everybody laughed aloud when Neil tried to clear things out while going red at cheeks.

Neil: NO No..! We were just talking. Nothing else.

Avni: haaan! Just talking rubbish. Sach me..

Maddy: eh? None of us told you were doing something else. Did we?

Laughter splashed again much louder. Neil and Avni realised that there is no point in speaking anything. They are being targeted and whatever they say, they are going to be teased to hell. So they kept quiet. Avni sprang up then and ran to her room leaving Neil alone to face all naughty comments and stares.

Neela ma reached just in time to see her daughter. On learning why Avni ran away, she laughed and went to meet her.

Neela ma: gudmorning baccha..

Avni: hey!! Gudmorning ma!

And she hugged her tightly. Neil was right. This Avni was all in smiles, flushed with happiness, enjoying her new found confidence and crazy nature.

Neela ma: wah! You seem to be the happiest person on earth.

Avni: When we have someone like Neil in our life, we ought to be happy.

Neela ma: are you in love?

Avni: hain? With Neil?

Neela ma: who else then? I think so.

Avni: i dont know. Something is there which even Iam not able to find out.

Neela ma: chalo.. "no" se "i dont knw" thak tho pahunch gayi tum. Good progress.

Before Avni  could reply, both of them got startled by loud screams that came from the main hall. They ran to see what was happening. The scene they saw shocked both of them. There were masked people in the house who caught the entire family in custody. Two of them also held on to neil with both his hands caught up.  The goons were shouting something. The only thing Avni heard was " release him or else you and your entire family will be gone today". Avni understood its something related to Neil's involvement in may be a serous case. Neil struggled to save himself and his family. There is nothing in this world for which he would compromise his duties as a police officer and Avni knew it. Neil was not ready to oblige to the attackers. The attacker lost his patience and lifted his sword to barge at Neil. Before the sword could touch Neil, Avni rushed into the scene from nowhere only to brutally face a merciless deep cut on her right hand.

Neil: AVNNNIII!!

Avni caught hold of the sword and her palms were bleeding non stop. The attacker was distracted and Neil took this as a golden chance to take things under control. He came out of the loosened clutches and fought with the gang bravely. By this time Neela ma had informed DD about the attack. DD arrived with police force to help and soon all the attackers were arrested.

Swetha could not believe what she just saw. The girl who she thought as a curse on her family herself put her own life in danger to save her son. She felt tears rushing in her eyes. She ran to Avni who had fallen on ground. Her palms were drenched in blood and the first cut she got on her right hand was bleeding scaringly. She was in pain with her eyes closed.

Swetha: Avni.. Avni.. beta.. are yu okay?? Look at your state!

Avni looked at Swetha emotionally.

Avni: where is Neil? Is he okay?
Neil embraced her from behind at once. Avni felt his tears on her shoulder. She turned her face and saw him crying worried for her.

Avni: Dont worry. Iam fine.

Neil: kya kar diya yaar? Thank god bas hath pe laga. Kahin kuch ho jaatha tho? Are you mad? Utho ab. We need to dress this up.

Avni: hmm

Neela ma knew she had to take no tension of her daughter till Neil was with her. Hence she asked them to take care and went home. Neil took Avni to room and dressed up her wounds. He was furious at the same time thankful to what she had done. Her this act saved him and his entire family. But, she got herself injured for this. He didn't utter a word and quietly nursed her wounds. Avni looked intently as if to study his stern expression.

Avni: Neil. Kuch tho bolo. Please. Iam sorry. Please don't stay silent.

Neil: Shut up and take rest. I will be back in a minute.

As Neil left the room Avni started to think. Why did she do that? The goon could have killed her. Neil is right. Why could not she take the thought of something happening to Neil? Why didn't she think twice before getting in between the goon and Neil? Ofcourse, he is her husband. She can do anything for him.

All her thoughts and questions had a common answer. She herself found answers to all the queries she asked Neil the previous night. Her face started glowing with happiness and she had to tell Neil that she knew the answers now. May be this attack was necessary so that she can introspect herself. She slowly got up and started pacing to and fro in the room.
