New town, new house, new name, that was the life I lived. Not that I'm complaining or anything sometimes it's good to start all over and forget the past. Something might go bad one week but you know next week you'll be on to a new town with new people. I've been to almost all 50 states I still have yet to live in Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, South Dakota, and Rhode Island. My parents and I got sent to California this time. This is my parents third time in California but my first it was nice to see a new state. We've been in Montana for the last month I thought we would be stuck there forever that's the longest I've ever been in one place before.

I hear my father call to me saying to grab the last few boxes from the moving truck. I hop off my mattress and walk down stairs. As I look around the house on the way outside I have a feeling that maybe it won't be so bad here. Mom and Dad seem to like it a lot even though it's there third time in California I never heard them complain one bit about coming back.

I grab the last of the boxes from the moving truck and tell the men to have a nice day. I stop and take in the view of my front yard, all the neat small houses, the kids playing in the summer sun, the few barking dogs. Then my eye catches a group of boys walking to their houses with baseball gloves. I'm not the type to make friends easy, like really what's the point if I'm just moving somewhere else the next week. But the group of boys looked like a nice group of friends, they all waved and said their goodbyes. The boy that looked the oldest went to the house two houses away from mine he must of saw me watching him because he gave a nod in my direction.

I gave a small smile back and went back into my house. That's enough contact with humans for today. I set the boxes down and start to take stuff out in the kitchen.

"Teagan you have to promise me something ok?" my mom said. It's so crazy how fast she can remember my cover names even though I've probably have had about 20 already.

"Depends what it is?" I say.

"Promise me you will make some friends this time."

"Mom I've told you this before what's the point in making friends when you just have to leave?"

"Teagan we were in Montana for a month and you had no friends to be with. What if this time it's the same way."

I thought long and hard for a second.

"It doesn't have to be a lot of people just a few." she said.

"Fine I'll make a few friends." I say.

"Oh thank you Teagan."

"Yeah sure thing mom."
