The next day my mom made me get up bright and early to go find some friends. I didn't want to let my mom down but no matter how hard I try I'm sure I'm not going to find any friends. I started to walk down the street out of my neighborhood area and I was heading down town. I started to hear some noise maybe a park was close by I'm sure I could find some friends there. I look in the direction of the sound and I find a sandlot.

I walked in and hid in the back so no one could see me. I'm not really ready to talk to people yet I just want to see what's going on. It seems they were playing baseball, I've never played before, my dad never had time to teach me. It seemed like it was a fun game, all the boys seemed to be having fun. I looked some more and say the boys from the group yesterday. This must of been why they had baseball gloves with them.

All a sudden their ball came rolling over to where I was hiding. My mind was telling me to leave it and sneak out before someone sees me. But then I remember my mom saying to make friends so I grab the ball and start to walk towards the group. They all seemed surprised to see me being they didn't know I was there. I looked at them all and then threw the all to the oldest boy. When he caught it he just looked at the ball then to me.

"You're suppose to say thank you." I said.

He stared at me some more before finally saying "Thank you."

"You're welcome." I said then I started to walk away when one of the boys said.

"Where did you come from?"

"Montana." I said.

"No I mean in the sandlot we didn't see or hear you and then you appear out of thin air."

"I guess you'll never find out." I said laughing and started to walk away again.

Then the boy that caught the ball said "At least tell us your name."

"Teagan. Teagan Adams."

"Well Teagan would you like to play some baseball?" the boy asked.

All a sudden the whole sandlot filled with whispers and gasps of "no Benny" and "what are you thinking". So I'm guessing the boys name was Benny.

"Sorry but I've never played."

"You have a throw like that and you've never played."

"Um yeah it's not that hard to throw a ball."

"To some people it is. How about you come tomorrow at 8:30am and I can teach you how to play, Then you can play a game with us at 9:00am." Benny said.

I thought for a seconded and then said "Ok I'll see you then."

After that I walked out of the sandlot with a smile so my big my face started to hurt.
