Chapter 10: Watching

P.O.V. Third

King was walking down the streets of the Canopy Kingdom until he heard some footsteps behind him and approaching him rapidly. When he turned he saw Crimson walking towards him.

He waited for her to approach when she was a few feet away she looked at King. "I have some rather unfortunate news," she said looking at King. When she said this King looked at her a little confused.

"It would seem as if that female you've become fond of had been captured. Squigly I believe her name was," Crimson said looking at the male in front of her.

"What?" King asked looking at her.

"She was captured by some people that work with me. She at the moment is about to be dissected," Crimson said looking at him. King's eyes widened hearing this and looked at the blonde female in front of her.

"Well where is she? Can you take me to her?" King asked looking at the female. Crimson shook her head when he said this.

"Sadly no, I work in a different part of the city than they do. It's hard to tell just where in the city she is and by the time we get there it may be to late," Crimson said looking at him. "Although," she said reading into her pocket. "If you really want to try here's all the locations she could possibly be at," Crimson said handing him a small piece of paper with a few pictures.

King nodded when she said this and took what she was offering him. He then began to run down the streets trying to find the locations that were in the pictures and had been written down on the paper.

P.O.V. Squigly

I tried to once again move my arms but the restraints prevented me from moving. I then looked over to another table and saw Leviathan strapped to the table like I was. "Don't worry Squigly, I'm sure everything will be fine," he said looking at me.

I know he's just trying to make me feel better but even so he is managing to put me at ease. I then heard the door open and turned the female from before once again looking at me through her mask and I couldn't tell but it looked like she was smiling.

"I'll admit usually I don't resort to sneak attacks but in your case I made an exception. It'd be such a waste to kill you on the battlefield without being able to dissect this lovely blue skin of yours," she said looking at me.

I became a little nervous hearing this and she walked away and I heard a few noise but couldn't see what she was doing. "You know I've always been a little fascinated by your skin. It's blue, a color not usually found in skin. So I can't wait to dissect it to see what color your blood is," she said looking at me.

"You know blue is the color of trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, and truth," Valentine said looking at me. I remember King saying something similar the first time we met.

"And time," I said more to myself than to her but it seems like she heard it.

"Oh that's right but that's a bit of a lesser known fact. Like how red is the color of fate, I'm actually a little impressed that you knew that," She said as she picked up a scalpel and looked down at me.

"You stay away from her!" Leviathan said as she got closer to me.

"Quiet down, I'll get to you as soon as I'm done with her," Valentine said as she looked at me. I closed my eyes ready to accept whatever she had panned for me however for some unknown reason my mind went back to King.

I really wanted to see him again, he was so nice and he didn't seem to mind the fact that I was both alive and dead. I guess I won't be able to see him again now. I guess this the end for me, funny I never thought I would have died like this. I looked at Valentine as her scalpel slowly moved towards me.

"No," I heard a new voice say. As soon as I heard this Valentine's scalpel burst into bright blue flames. I then felt my restraints do the same and started to panic slightly. However my fear faded quickly when I realized the flames weren't burning me but just my restraints.

When they were gone I for up and saw that the same was happening to Leviathan's restraints. He then moved forward and he wrapped around me and went into my head like before.

I then began to look around not seeing an exit however I then heard what sounded like cracks spreading across ice. When I looked towards the sound I saw one of the metal doors split in half before separating.

I wasn't going to question what was happening at the moment. When I walked through the door I felt the ceiling collapse behind me and turned to see why. When I did for a moment I saw someone standing in the hall.

He wasn't someone I recognized he had long silver hair and bright brilliant golden eyes. However his disappeared as soon as I looked at him. "Squigly we must leave now," Leviathan said looking at me.

"R-right," I said as I began to run down the hall. I then saw another door and like before it split open and we managed to pass through it. Then like before I felt it collapse behind us. I continued to run and eventually made it outside.

I smiled when I did and continued to run. When I was outside I smiled and looked around. At the moment there's only one thing on my mind. I need to find King!
