A male with blonde hair and green eyes was currently walking down the streets of the small town that he lived in. "Hey Rubick," A random male said with a smile as he walked past him. Rubick smiled hearing this and waved back.

He lived in a small town were most people could use magic. Not many were very skilled with it but he was different. He had been trained by one of the towns oldest and most powerful sorcerers. So while his magic was varied and at times weak he knew how to use it to it's fullest.

Rubick continued down the streets until he reached a small temple. When he did he smiled and walked inside. When he did he saw a female with long purple hair and bright green eyes. "Imilingo," Rubick said as he saw the female.

"Ah I'm so glad to see that you have returned," The female said looking at him. Rubick was a little confused hearing this. Not because of what she said but because of how she said. She seemed a little distant when she said it.

"Is something wrong?" Rubick asked looking at the female in front of him.

"I'm not sure," She said looking at the blonde male in front of her.

"Then tell me what has you so distracted," Rubick said looking at the female in front of him. She sighed hearing this and looked at him.

"I've heard a few disturbing rumors about a town that's outside of the Canopy Kingdom," The female said looking at him.

"Okay, well what are they?" Rubick asked looking at the female hearing the distress in her voice.

"I've heard that a child was born, and that this child is the embodiment of evil. That he is the manifestation of hatred, and sorrow," The female said looking at the female.

"That can't possibly be true," Rubick said looking at the female.

"That's what I thought however the town seems to be taking it very seriously. The child apparently left the town they're sending several people after him in hopes of retrieving him," Imilingo said as she stood up.

"I . . . I see," Rubick said looking at the female. "So what do you want to do about it?" The male asked as he looked at the female in front of him.

"That mercenaries that were hired, are passing through a nearby town. I'd like you to join them and make sure that their actions aren't misguided," Imilingo said looking at Rubick.

The blonde male nodded hearing this and looked at the female. "What if they are right? Then what should I do?" The male asked looking at the elderly female in front of him.

"We've talked about what you should do in these types of situations," the female said looking at him. The male nodded hearing this and pulled out a mask with a smile on it. He then placed the mask on and looked at the female.

"Hopefully I'll return soon," the male said ad he began to walk down the streets. As he did he felt a little nervous he had never actually had to wear his mask before despite what she had told him.

'When fighting an opponent that's underhanded, wear this. If he can't see your reaction then he can't exploit any weakness that you may show in battle. This mask may end up saving not only your life but the life of someone close to you as well,' the male thought as he walked down the streets.

When I left the town I began to walk towards the town that I had been told that they would be in. He walked for most of the day and it was late at night when he arrived. When he did he noticed two figures walking down the streets. Two males one old and one young.

The elder of the two had long silver hair and brilliant golden eyes. While the younger of the two had pure white hair and vivid purple eyes. Deciding that they had nothing to do with what he was doing he sighed and waited at the entrance of the town for the people he had been told to wait for.
