"You may not always end up where you thought you were going. But you will always end up where you are meant to be."

ELLIE

"Ellie-sama, are you done with your homeworks?" Yukari asked. She's my newest regalia. Her name is Yuka and as regalia, Hakki. Since she's new, I need to take more time to look out for her to teach her the right things she must do.

I stretched my limbs then sat up from the bed where I am currently sat on.

"Yes, thank you for always reminding me Yukari. But have you checked on [first name]-Aneki yet? She must have fallen asleep once again, forgetting about her school works."

Yukari blinked her eyes, "Oh, I asked her the same question and she said she's already done with it. A piece of cake, she said."

I let out a small laugh because of my cousin's boastful personality, shaking my head in amusement. She really haven't changed. She is still the same, like centuries ago. I frowned, remembering that 'event' once again.

"What's wrong, Ellie-sama?" Yukari asked, making me look at her. Her expression showed worry and I can clearly read what she is thinking too.

"I'm fine. It's just that I remembered something from the distant past. Nothing to worry about." I reassured her which she answered with a smile.

She stood up then bowed, asking for my permission if she can go and have a chat with the other regalias which I allowed her to. She happily skipped out of my room which made me chuckle at her.

As if on cue, my long time regalia entered with a frown on her lips, alerting me. I sighed then massaged my temples. "I know. They met again, I know," I said, my regalia sitting beside me.

"It seems that no matter what we do, fate will find a way to make those two meet once more," Mari had said.

"ELLIE~!" My cousin opened the door to my room all of a sudden, making us jump in surprise. Her golden hues went to me then to Mari who gulped in nervousness. She narrowed her eyes but then grinned once more, jumping to my bed like a four-year-old.

I laughed at her childishness then pushed her out of the bed making her fall on the floor, face first. She sat up then groaned, giggling in process.

"You are supposed to be on your shrine, not mine! What do you need anyway, [first name]-O-Mi-Kami?" I asked, crossing my arms.

She dusted her [favorite color] kimono then looked at me, "So the Yatogami really exist? I told you! Tenjin-sama isn't joking!"

I frowned at the mention of his name. I hit her head in irritation, making her let out a hiss. "Yes he does, and don't go near him!" [first name]-Aneki was about to protest but I beat her to it.

"JUST DON'T!"

"Fine. But how though? He seems like appearing everywhere! On the bookstore, the fast food, the park! Like what the hell?" [first name] breathed out, falling on my bed.

I blinked my eyes then let out an annoyed groan remembering that the god of calamity has now changed his ways to become a self-proclaimed god of fortune. A DELIVERY GOD. Working for humans whenever they called for him. Of course he will be everywhere and plus, they also have a connection with Hiyori which means more of him.

Hiyori and that god shares a strong bond.

"Then don't tell me, not far from today, he is now my classmate?"

***

On the next day, as if answering [first name]'s question, the male god is now her classmate; a seatmate even worse. My eye twitched, seeing the god grinning at us. I looked at my cousin who also had an irritated expression on her features, seeing they don't have a very nice first encounter... on my delight. "[first name]-Aneki, just..."

"I know. But if he irritates me so much, I'm going to strangle him okay?" [first name] whispered back then went to sit on her designated seat. She waved me goodbye then went to get her notebook and pencil to start drawing, earphones plugged on her ears, music probably blaring on her ears to prevent any comments from Yato to reach her sense of hearing.

[FIRST NAME]

After a few minutes of you drawing on your notebook, someone pulled your earphone from your ear making you look at the culprit.

Yato looked at you with a serious expression, making you furrow your eyebrows at him in confusion.

"What?" you asked.

He pursed his lips, still not averting his eyes from yours. "Have we met before? I mean, earlier than the time on the train station and... the other day," he asked, his voice failing every second as words slip from his mouth. His cheeks tinted in pink, probably remembering the time he failed on his attempt to eat your food silently.

"I'm afraid not. I don't remember meeting you before," you answered.

'Did you? Why is he asking that now? Weird,' you thought.

He sighed then placed your earphones on the table, him leaning his back on his chair. His cobalt-blue orbs flickered outside the window as if he was thinking, making you wonder whatever runs within the depths of his confusing mind.

You poked his cheek, as if on instinct. You don't have any idea why you did that. He looked at you in surprise, his eyes staring back at yours.

"U-uh... Why have you asked that anyway?"

He snapped back to reality then said, "It's just that... Nevermind. Forget about me asking about it, dimwit."

You furrowed your eyebrows at him. His attitude is kind of confusing for you. 'Is he bipolar?' you thought. 'At first, he is this somehow kind then he will be this insulting. What's going on with his head?'

Not knowing what to respond, you only shook your head in disbelief and returned to drawing.
