ALEXANDER’S POINT OF VIEW

Shannon left me while I was too dumbfounded to even speak.

~She blames me for everything that has happened to her. Maybe I was wrong when I said I could change her.~

Tammy came running towards me. She stopped in front of me and took deep breaths.

“Have you seen Shannon?”

I looked behind me but Shannon was nowhere to be found.

“Alex, are you okay?”

I shook my head.

“Did something happen?”

“She blames me for ruining her life, Tam.”

She looked a little confused.

“Why does she blame you?”

I shrugged my shoulders.

She held my hand and said, “Don’t worry, Alex. I’ll talk to her.”

Then, she left me to talk to Shannon.

I let out a sigh.

The crowd outside the library caught my attention. They were gossiping about something but I don’t really care what they were talking about.

I was about to take a step when my phone rang.

“Hello?”

“Dude, do you have some money left? I need to go to the grocery store. I’m a little hungry.”

I cleared my throat.

“Who is this please?”

“Alex, it’s Craig. Dude, are you okay?”

“Oh. Sorry, Craig. I just felt a little tired. I don’t really have much money left. Maybe you should call Tammy.”

“Okay. Thanks, bro.”

Then, the call ended.

I let out a sigh.

~That person really has serious guts. He lives at my house and asks me for money. Ugh. He’s a nightmare!~

My phone rang once more.

“Hello?”

“Alex, I found Shannon. Meet us at the cafeteria.”

Before I could even reply, the call ended.

I walked my way towards the cafeteria without second thoughts.

SHANNON’S POINT OF VIEW

I was crying on one of the cafeteria’s table when someone called for me.

“Shannon!”

I looked to see who it was. I wiped my tears away when I found Tammy Johnson jogging towards me.

I sniffed.

“Hey,” I greeted her.

“Are you okay?”

~Uh ... Do you really have to ask me that? Isn’t it obvious?~

But I just shook my head.

She sat down beside me and said, “I’m sorry I wasn’t able to help you.”

I just looked down.

“What really happened, Shannon?”

I cleared my throat.
