keith's pov

i watched dakota flash a fake small before she handed me my unwanted muffin and beverage. she stuck her hand out for a handshake to dominique.

"it's a pleasure to meet you" kota said, although something about how she said suggested she didn't mean it

"the pleasure's all mine" dominique responded "how do you know keith?" she asked

dakota looked at me with a smile that may look happy on the outside but according to my dakota dictionary it mean't she was pissed. i just hadn't gotten the chance to tell dominique about dakota, i swear i would've

"i'm keith's gir-" i cut her off

"we're casually dating" i cut her off

instant regret filled my face as dakota looked at me. on her face, i first saw hurt but only for a second after that she just looked like pure rage.

dakota's the first person i've dated since dominique, calling someone my girlfriend again was just a little hard

"well i'm gonna leave you two now." dominquie said breaking that awkward silence that had collected "i've got some errands to run but we should definitely get together"she locked eyes with me the entire time

i just gave her a nervous smile, i was scared of what dakota would do once she left. dakota was most definetly gonna kill me.

"and it was nice to meet you, keith's 'casual dating person'" dominique said giving dakota a smirk before quickly walking the opposite direction

when i looked over at dakota she was typing furiously on her phone, i knew not to bother her or she might pop off on me

dakota's pov

nat's car pulled up and i quickly threw the backdoor open and jumped in

i cannot believe that just happened: in one day i found out that keith's ex is a hung up bitch and keith can't call me his girlfriend

i mean this morning he gave me a promise ring to promise myself to him cause he's possesive as fuck but only a couple hours later he can't call me his girlfriend? wow.

nat drove off after keith got in the car

"so kota your parents are coming to town tomorrow?!" nat asked excitedly

"yeah they wanna take me out for how well the album's doing and to check up on me after that whole keke thing" i grumbled

"hmm i love your parents"

"they sound great. maybe i can meet them?" keith had the nerve to question

"why would i introduce my parents to someone i'm 'casually dating'?" i snapped "that's just stupid."

"dakota le-"

"hey i forgot to tell you this but keith wants to go home, can you just swing by his place?" i asked nat cause he damn sure wasn't coming home with me

keith sat back in defeat while nat mumbled a "sure" her and woody were clearly confused

when we got to keith's house nat unlocked the door

"kota let's go" keith said in a stern voice

"nah i'm feeling pretty tired i'm just gonna head back to my place and sleep" i kept my eyes forward

"i don't have a problem with you staying the night"

"i don't want to stay the night"

"then just come in so we can talk" keith begged in a soft voice
