dakota's pov

"this is keith." i gestured to a very jealous looking keith "keith this andrew my old friend from NYU" i said lightly punching drew's arm

"ow!" he pretended to be in pain "girl i always told you hit like mike tyson" he said rubbing his arm and laughing, i joined him

"how you doing man? i'm andrew" drew held out his hand, narrowing his eyes at keith

"i'm good" keith mimicked his actions and they slowly shook hands, as if telling each other something in a language i had no knowledge of

"imma go look for nattily and woody, call me when you're done here" keith said withdrawing his hand, eyes still narrowed and not breaking contact "it was nice to meet you" he tilted his chin up at andrew

"and vice versa" drew said giving him a small smirk

keith started walking off and when he was no longer in hearing distance i began talking

"what the hell just happened?"

"nothing" drew lied

"what are you doing in LA?! and why didn't you tell me you were here?!" i interrogated

drew took in a breath in before saying "i would've told you but you changed your number" his phone started to ring as he finished

"hello?" he answered "yeah i'll be there soon i just ran into an old friend" he smiled down at me "k bye" he hung up the phone "i got a small meeting with my business partner at starbucks but after that i'm not doing anything. hit me up."

"i'll see" i said walking away

"ayy kota you better hit me up!" he yelled behind me while i just chuckled

*time skip to after the mall

"ma i got a callback on an audition and i gotta go, i'm sorry" keith said

"don't apologize, it's your career!" i stressed "go show em whatcha got" i kissed his cheek

"i will. whatchu gon do when i'm gone?" keith questioned with his brows raised

"just hang with nat and ash"

and andrew, i said in my mind. he looked tense af every since he met andrew. on our way back from the mall he kept his jaw clenched and i didn't want to stress him out at callbacks so yes i lied. but it was for a good reason... right?

"mkay i'll meet you at my place at 5?" it was 2:30

"sounds good" i smiled before he left the living room and a couple seconds later i heard the front door close

"guys come in here!"

"what's up?" nat asked as her and ash walked in

"you will never believe who i ran into at the mall"

"is it keke crazy ass again?" ash fumed

"no! andrew"

"i haven't seen him in so long oh my god!" nat said "is that why keith looked so mad when he found me and woody?"

"i don't know why he'd be mad" i said confused

"probably because drew wants to bone you" ash suggested nonchalantly
