dakota's pov

"jasper prosed to me last night" my eyes widened at this sudden release of news

"oh my god w-what did you say?"

"i said 'yes'" i jumped out my seat and hugged mike

"congratulations" he's been through so many trashy guys and he deserved jared so much. i started to tear up at the thought of one of my best friends getting married

"jesus christ please don't cry! you are the ugliest crier" he said, lightening up the mood

"shut up" i chuckled while lightly pushing him

"oh yeah! i should also ask you... will you be my best woman?"

"YES"

"ugh good. you're gonna help me plan everything this is gonna be so much fun" mike said, why's he's so excited to do work?

after talking mike out of getting penis shaped lollipops for wedding favors i went into my car and found a text i missed from keith

i laughed about the contact name i'd forgotten to change and immediately changed it before he saw it and yelled at me. i changed it to "bighead 😍😘💕"

me: mkay i'll be there soon

i drove over to keith's place and knocked on the door. when the door opened there stood keith in a hoodie and some basketball shorts, he smiled when he saw me

he pulled me in by my waist and i pecked his soft lips a couple times before pulling away and walking inside, from the bummed expression he was wearing he wanted my actions to go further

"what took you so long?" he questioned while i took a seat on the couch

"i came here from mike's" he tensed when i said his name, so damn possesive "he asked me to be his best woman"

he let out a sigh and a relieved smile "that's great"

"yeah he's getting married to his now fiance jared" i explained, putting emphasis on the name 'jared'

he gave me a nervous smile that silently apologized for being jealous of someone who didn't even swing that way

we talked for a while until i had somehow ended up on keith's lap straddling him while his hands caressed my ass

i tugged at the bottom of keith's hoodie and he took it off and threw it across the room before passionately returning back to my lips

i ran my fingers down his newly exposed skin as he groaned and slapped my ass at my teasing actions

he reached to pull my shirt off but my phone started ringing and i got off his lap, looking for it

"baby" he whined cause i left him there all hot and bothered

"it could be important" i spotted it and swiped

"hey dakota! me and nat really need you to come over, it's urgent!" ashley spoke through the phone

"is it really that imp-" i was cut off by the phone call ending, they're so dramatic i swear! there's probably a freaking moth in the house

this wouldn't be the first time they called me about a moth

"keith i gotta go nat and ash said it was an emergency but it's probably not but i should go just in case" i rambled, picking up his hoodie

"i'm gonna keep this"

"bye kota call me when you get home" keith said from the couch

"alright bye" i waked over giving him a quick kiss then making my way across the room, almost to the front door

"i love you"

my actions ceased at his words, i slowly turned around to face him. he just said he loved me for the first time

he seemed to be frozen in time, his wide eyes were just glued on the pitch black tv screen

"i uh i... i" i wanted to tell him i love him but the words felt foreign when referring to someone in a romantic way

i've never told a guy i love him

"i love waffles" i mean't to say 'i love you too' but the words were trapped solely in my mind

oh my god no. did i really just say that? i ran out of the house before i could insult him further

*timeskip

"dakota you did not do that" nat said in disbelief

"i did" i shook my head in disapointment

"well do you actually love him" ash asked

"yes. so much"

"call him" they said in unison

i picked up my phone and they left me alone in my bedroom

"hello?"

"keith" i breathed out nervously

"yes dakota?" he asked in an exasperated tone

"i love you. i'm so sorry for what happened i don't know what was running through my mind. i've never told a guy i loved him and you were the first and it was complicated but that's only because i love you" i rushed a ramble "i love you" i said slower this time, just incase he hadn't heard me

"i love you too" keith said, i heard his smile

"the truth is i don't even like waffles that much like i'd choose pancakes over them any day"

"don't you ever say that to me again. GIRL DON'T YOU KNOW I LOVE WAFFLES?!"

we talked for hours and when we hung up that night we both said those addicting three words

'i love you'

*time skip six months

"babe don't leave" keith whined tugging on my arm

"keith i have to " i chuckled as he released my arm

"why don't you just stay in the house that i bought for you and me to fuck in." he kissed my neck, trying to get me to stay

"keith i love you so much for buying us a house to live in" i corrected "but mike really needs me. go take a nap in the bed we bought to fuck in and when i get back i promise we will put it to good use"

that was enough to get him to let me leave

"i love you" i smiled opening the front door

"i love you too, you better give me some later" he rushed out as i closed the door, chuckling

*timeskip

"hey kota!" mike said

"hey green giant! what are we gonna be going over today?" i asked taking a seat on mike's couch

"just some little details for the bachlor vacation to vegas and some more final desicions on the wedding but before that i wanted to introduce you to someone"

"this is dominique, jasper's good friend" mike said introducing me to that fake girl i've heard so much about

keith's ex

"oh we've meet" dominique said with a small annoying smirk on her all too perfect face
