ALLISON'S POV
"What do you know about the Lykaios?" I ask my father.
I knew when he was lying.
I had been visiting him at the hospital, and now that he was home again, I was seeing him more. But ever since he was in that car accident, he was acting strange.
He's lying about something, I just don't know what that something is.
"I already told you, they're a bunch of nasty, wolf hating cult leaders. There's nothing more to say." He replies. He hasn't looked me in the eyes once.
"Stop lying," I say, a sudden rush of anger spreading over me.
He looks like a hurt puppy, but I carry on, "Ever since that accident. Ever since then, you have been repeatedly lying to me. I don't know why, but that doesn't matter right now. What matters is that the people I love, are in danger. And if you don't tell us, me, the truth, then we could be put into more danger." I say, my hand cradling my stomach.
He sighs and rubs the space between his eyebrows.
"The Lykaios are threatened." He says.
"By what?" Scott asks, determined.
My father finally looks me in the eye and tells the truth, "By your hybrid baby. That's why they're targeting you. They want to get rid of the baby."
STILE'S POV
Why were the Lykaios targeting us? Why do every super-evil cult target us?
"Why are we always targeted by scary-evil-super-cults?" I ask Lydia, staring at her face. I could never stop looking at her. I could never get sick of her face. It's like I fall in love with her each time I see her smile or laugh.
We didn't go with Scott, Allison and Derek to talk to Allison's dad. We didn't think we were needed that much. Well, I wasn't needed that much, as Derek always tells me, "Beacon Hills. It's just Beacon Hills." Lydia replies.
I frown, "We should move to New York. You could be a famous fashion designer and I could... Eat pizza for a living! See, I am organised!" I say, grinning. She laughs and kisses my upside down head.
My pocket begins to buzz. I grab my phone and answer it, "Hello?"
"Stiles, we know why the Lykaios are after us." I immediately sit up straight at the seriousness in Scott's voice, "They're after the baby. They're after my baby." What? "Hold up Scott, what do you mean they're after the baby?" I ask, suddenly alarmed.
Lydia overhears us and her eyes widen.
"They feel threatened by a human-werewolf hybrid. That's what I mean by 'they're after the baby'." He says. His voice sounds hard and torn, as if he's been screaming for hours.
"We'll meet you at your house in ten." I say, putting the phone down.
"Stiles, what happened?" Lydia asks.
I turn to her, "The Lykaios are after Scott and Allison's baby because they feel threatened by a human-werewolf hybrid." I say.
"We need to go." I add, before grabbing Lydia's hand and jogging to the car.
Why are we always threatened by the bad guys?
Why are we the only ones to solve these problems?
