I don't know what exactly was going through my brain when it happened. In the moment however, while reassuring her I would protect her, I did the last thing I meant to do. Totally worth it!!

She looked up at me with a hopeful expression and asked me one simple question

"Promise?" I looked at her, but instead of saying promise back like I had intended to I.....I......I kissed her. I took her face in my hands and leaned in until her lips met mine. Then I took a step closer to her so it was easier. I then rested my hands on her hips and kissed her with more confidence, more passion. She kissed me back with just as much of both of those. Slowly she reached up and wrapped her arms around my neck. We stayed there for a while even after she pulled back. We both stood there just staring at each other. Finally I had the sense to say something.

"I-I-I'm sorry Lilah I don't know what I was thinking I shouldn't....I....." She could tell I was struggling and laughed slightly before puffing out her bottom lip and teasing me.

"Awe! Does that mean you didn't enjoy it?" I laughed at her great attitude towards this whole thing. I mean she probably didn't even like me but kissed me anyways just to do something. I decided to turn it back on her.

"Well did you?" She chuckles a little and then replies.

"You tell me first." She glances at me and snags her lip in between her teeth. I decide to be honest.

"Yes I did enjoy that. Very much so!" I was instantly grateful for telling the truth, for a beautiful smile spread across her face, Stretching from ear to ear.

"So did I." Still smiling as she says so I barely let her finish her sentence before ducking my head down and quickly pecking her lips again. Both of us were smiling the whole time.

"You should get some sleep. Big training day tomorrow." I tell her, finally coming to my senses and releasing my hold from her waste. She nods and turns towards her room. I turn back and finish the dishes. Smiling at them them the whole time.

I couldn't believe it. He kissed me! ME!!! Of all people for this beautiful blue eyes boy to kiss he kissed me!! Now I'm sure he's kissed other people of course, it isn't just me. Actually I know he's kissed other people before me, other wise he wouldn't be that good. And he was a good kisser.

After the second one I was absolutely ecstatic. My head was fuzzy and my stomachs was full of butterflies, actually it was more like angry wasps. So being the idiot I am, when he told me to get some sleep I turned and left. Now that doesn't seem so bad, until you realize neither you or I know what the hell that means for us. I mean am I still friend zoned? Am I just a fuck buddy? Am I his girlfriend? Are we dating? Like what the hell?!? So now he assumes I'm asleep and I'm staring at my ceiling trying to figure out what the hell that means for us.

One thought keeps coming into my head. There's some rule I'm supposed to be thinking about. Actually I just broke one but I can't think of what rule that was.

My eyes had slowly started to drift shut, and my brain was finally starting to shut off when a thought slipped into my head. The rule! I remember now! My happy, buoyant mood took a plummet along with my heart at my dawning realization. The only thought I can muster up is a simple "oh."
