Waking up next to him was almost like a dream. It was something that I hadn't expected. Even though he told me last night he would stay but I figured at some point he would get up and leave but he didn't.
"Morning Rhi." He said looking into my eyes with his beautiful blue ones.
"Morning Kurt." I said smiling happily.
"How you are holding up?" He asked concern making his blue eyes darken.
"Better, but even better because you stayed." I said wrapping my arms around him.
"Of course I did, I told you last night I wouldn't leave you alone if you didn't want to be." He said with a caring smile.
"Thank you." I said before I leaned up and pressed my lips to his. He seemed shocked at first but quickly melted into the kiss. I drew back needing to breath. He just smiled at me and kissed me once more. I felt like I was flying high, when I was with him I felt like nothing was wrong. With him I was able to focus on something other than the previous nights bad news.
"So are you ready for our date?" He asked with a grin that was almost cheesy.
"Sure am." I said smiling as he pulled me into his arms and towards the door.
Somehow I felt like Kass was gonna be okay, I ask knew that worrying myself sick wasn't going to do anything. I tried to remain calm and think about what Kurt could possibly have planned for the day. I just wanted an easy friend a distraction from everything that was going wrong.
"Rhi are you okay?" He asked as we were walking wherever we were going.
"Yeah I'm fine, I'm still a little worried about Kass." I said trying to keep myself from a breakdown.
"Your friend will be fine, I'll be here for you no matter what happens." Kurt said stopping right in front of me.
"Thanks you're being so kind to me when you barely even know me." I said a tear slipping despite my efforts to keep them in.
He didn't say a word, he just hugged me. I felt myself fall apart. He didn't mind he just held me until I stopped. He looked at me with a look that held nothing but kindness mixed with what I believed to be love. We kept walking, until we walked up to a diner. We sat at one of the tables.
"Rhi, I don't know how you're gonna react so I'm just gonna say this. I love you." He said with a small crooked smile.
"I love you too." I said the words coming out as a breathy whisper.
"Tell me something about you, what were like with your friends?" He asked gazing into my eyes.
"Well back home with my friends I was always that one person that people tried to fight. I've always been more of a peaceful person. I only resort to violence when I have no other option. I found myself constantly being told by people that they wanted to fight me. My friends nor myself understood why. I was always a very quiet non-confrontational person." I laughing a little at the thought that people back home thought I liked confrontation.
"I agree with you, I don't see a very confrontational person sitting in front of me. I'm just tryna fuckin figure out what reason somebody would have to want to fight you." He said as someone who finally didn't see me as violent. I could believe how well things seemed to be going. I was enjoying the time with someone who actually seemed happy to be taking me out that day.
"Yeah but anyways that's the way they looked at me. I'm just glad I'm away from it. I miss my two friends but they understood why I had to leave. They knew that I just never really fit in around there. They knew I needed somewhere new where no one knew me." I said and just as I finished my sentence he leaned across the table and kissed me deeply. It felt amazinf and I didn't want It to end.
We both free back neededing to breath and looked into his eyes which were that heavenly blue color that made me want to die. I couldn't think of a better way to spend the day.
"Kurt." I said unable to hold back my smile.
"Yes Rhi?" He said looking up from the menu in front of him.
"I really enjoy being around you, I'm beginning to love the time I spend around you more and more." I said not really able to look up at him.
He just smiled and kissed me yet again. It was just as breathtaking and heart stopping as the first and I couldn't bring myself to want stop but eventually air was needed. The waitress came and took out order and left as soon as she did.
