My phone was ringing from my kitchen. Quickly I pulled up my shorts and was running for it in a struggle. Shawn's name was plastered across the screen when I reached it and I smiled as I quickly pick it up.
"Hey!" I smiled as I place the phone on my shoulders as I did up the button on my shorts.
"Hi!" He said back through the phone and I could tell just by his voice he seemed happy.
We exchanged the quick, 'how are you's' and 'goods' before he paused a moment.
"So... what are you doing today?" he asked, and I could hear his mischievous grin in my brain from his tone.
"Uh," I started as I began my way back to my room. "I'm coming downtown to do some shooting today. Why?"
I heard him shuffle on the other side. "Oh ah, never mind then I was just going to see if you wanted to do something?"
I smiled to myself because I liked Shawn calling me to hang out. Instantly I wanted to drop my plans and do whatever he wanted but I desperately needed this time to go and have my time. I hadn't had the opportunity in a while to go shooting for myself and it was bringing me down; I needed this.
"You know you can tag along with me Shawn. I mean, if you'd like to?"
"You'd let me do that?"
I snickered into the phone. "Yes, I'd let you do that."
I began to pack up a few things in my bag as I continued to talk to Shawn. "It might be a little boring for you? Because I'm slow and take a million pictures so you don't have to come, just I feel bad by turning you down but I just really need to go out."
"No, no, I'd love to tag along."
"Yeah?" I questioned even if I was over the moon at the prospect of Shawn joining me on my afternoon of shooting.
"Yeah, when are you going?"
I zipped up my bag and laughed. "Like right now."
He laughed into the phone too. "Okay. Where should I meet you?"
"Garden District."
He chuckled and spoke sarcastically. "Wow, you're really making this such a commute for me."
I began to speak dramatically. "Oh, oh I know Shawn, must be such an inconvenience to travel two neighborhoods over."
He was laughing into the phone as he spoke. "Okay, well let me know when you're ten minutes away. Did you want me to meet you at the station?"
"Yes, please."
We then said our goodbyes and I packed up my last few things before leaving for the train. When I walked up the steps out of the train station I looked around trying to find Shawn. I'd taken about two good looks around before I heard my name being called with his beautiful voice. Turning to the sound he stood just slightly down the block from me and he took my breath away, as usual. He was dressed in a green hoodie and his signature black jeans. He was so boyishly comfy and yet looked amazing.
