SHAWN'S POV
Sliding open the door again I stepped inside but not before catching a glimpse of her on the bed. Her summer legs laying long on the bed as she was still on her back the way I'd left her. As I came in I saw her prop up on her elbows and quickly pull down at her shirt, trying to make sure nothing about her clothing was out of place implying our activities, but I knew our activities quite well, as I'd just cleaned it up. But it was cute to watch her act like she wasn't anything innocent, I knew she could be anything but.
When her eyes came back up and met with mine I gave a quick smile before coming around the pulled out bed.
"Good?" She asked in a whisper. I nodded and then rolled myself on the bed to rejoin her.
"God, this bed is so uncomfortable," I grumbled as I tried to readjust my shoulder as I wanted to be turned towards her, but my weight was pushing down into the mattress so much I believed I could feel the metal frame underneath. After I settled my shoulder into the mattress I looked up and her one brow raise up. I could hear the counter remark she was making in her head about making my guests sleep on it.
"I mean, I'm just saying the bunk is a lot better."
She grinned playfully as I rested my head on the pillow. "Well, it's not like I'm forcing you away from your nice bunk to sleep here with me."
I smiled to myself because her text earlier kind of did, but wasn't really force when you'd to happily do it anyways.
"Oh shut up," I breathed before I took in a deep breath and just looked at her laying softly on the pillow. Her head was turned to me over her bare shoulder and her eye colour was standing out again. She smiled at me and ducked her chin a little which made me smile, it was big and bright on my cheeks to the point it hurt them.
After grinning at one another I rolled my eyes and I reached out for her wanted her to be a bit closer again.
I pulled for her and she shuffled a little as my one arm wrapped around her before reaching for the thin comforter to cover us up. Struggling to get inside blanket she giggled and tried to give instructions that only came out in half sentences.
"Shawn, maybe you put your - oh, okay," she then would chuckle.
Finally, we made it under the fabric and her body heat seemed to warm up the cool blankets faster than if I'd been alone.
Again, I wrapped myself around her with the one arm as I placed the other under my pillow to get her closer. She moved in again and then cocooned herself into me, one hand pressed up on my chest.
We breathed silently together and I liked holding her warm body. I loved body contact like this, more than I should. It was probably because I hardly got it, so when I did it only made me like it more. But because I hardly got contact like this, it only made me crave it more when I was gone and alone. It was a constant internal fight but it was worth it; right now it sure felt worth it.
Then out of the blue, she whispered on my chest. "Shawn? Was - was that like, okay?"
I had no idea what she was talking about. "Was what okay?"
Her head then came up from my chest and she peered up at me and then it clicked in because of how much insecurity was in them.
"Oh," I stammered, "yeah of course it was." Then I was silent a moment as I processed what she might be unsure over, my brows came together in confusion. "Why are you asking?"
"I don't know." She said before she fell silent and her eyes dropped to my chest. "I think I'm just feeling a little silly. I didn't realize you had - you should have given me an indication or something."
