Cat was riding her bike around the town for a while and started feeling better. As she was thinking about where else she could ride, she got the idea to visit Jade, because she hadn't been at her house for some time. Jade basically never invited her, so Cat only sometimes came to visit her without letting her know before.

Cat made her way to Jade's house. When she arrived, she leaned her bike against the wall, took the helmet off and stepped on the veranda to ring. Jade was still lying on her bed when she heard the doorbell. "Ugh, who's that?", she sighed annoyed and stood up to go downstairs and open the door, since she was the only one home. She was going to yell at whoever it was, until she noticed it was Cat.

"Oh, hey Cat", she said calm and surprised. She wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone, but she was relieved it was her best friend who was at the door. "Hiii", Cat greeted her back. "Can we hang out?", she asked. Jade sighed. "To be honest I'm not in the mood", she answered. "Aww why?", Cat asked right away. "Cause. I don't wanna talk about it, I'm just not feeling well", Jade responded roughly.

"I know that. Maybe I can help you", Cat replied. "You? Help me?", Jade inquired. "Sure, why not?", Cat asked back self-confidently. Jade was just going to reply something to explain her point, but then she eventually felt like talking to Cat about it. "Fine, come in." Cat giggled and followed Jade inside and into her room.

When they had sat down on the bed, Cat asked: "What's wrong?" Jade looked at her. "Can you just try not to make me feel like I'm having a session with a psychiatrist?" "Oh, sure", Cat replied acting excessively understanding in a playful way. "We're just some friends hanging. What's been up to you?", Cat replied. Jade smiled at her gratefully. "Better", she stated, causing Cat to smile too.

"Okay, well I've been with Beck a lot since we came together again and the Cow Wow yesterday was just perfect." "Aww", Cat replied, "I'm so happy to hear that." "Thanks. So what's been up to you?", Jade asked. "Nooo", Cat replied. "We're talking about what's wrong with you." "What's wrong with me? Cat, you told me this was no session about me but just friends hanging." "Yeah, but that doesn't mean I'm supposed to talk about what's up to me when I'm trying to help you." "Just also talk about yourself so I don't feel like I'm talking to a psychiatrist, okay?"

Cat sighed feeling uncomfortable. "Fine", she started while Jade was looking at her. "You know I've been avoiding Robbie for days cause I was afraid of him asking me to go to the Cow Wow." "You mean you've been running away from him", Jade said grinning at her. "Whatever", Cat replied, causing Jade to chuckle.

"Anyway, he eventually went there with some girl who I think only speaks French. She just always said 'Si, si' and laughed", Cat explained annoyedly. Jade grinned to herself, because she knew 'si' wasn't French but Spanish, but she let Cat continue without interrupting her. "I got mad at Robbie for going to the Cow Wow with another girl, so I danced with Sinjin to make him jealous and that's how I got my head kicked you know", she continued. "Yeah, I remember your little head at your bump", Jade said smirking. "Exactly", Cat said without noticing Jade had referred to her switching words.

"You wanted Robbie to stay with you when Lane told everyone to leave, right?", Jade asked. "Yeah, cause I just wanted to be with him." "And was it fun?" Cat sighed. "Yeah, at first, but after Tori and Andre's performance Robbie..." She stopped and looked to the ground, seeing the scene in her head again. "He what?", Jade inquired. Cat didn't respond. "Hello?"

"I don't wanna talk about it right now", Cat said quietly and eventually felt tears come up in her eyes again, but Jade didn't notice them, because Cat kept looking at the ground. "Come on", Jade said. "Just tell me." Cat's tears started streaming down her cheeks and she stood up. "We can talk on Monday", she said and started walking towards the door, but Jade went after her to hold her back at her arm.

"No, no, no, no, no", Jade said. "We talk about this now." "Why?", Cat whined and turned around to Jade, who only now noticed Cat's tears. "Hey, don't cry", Jade said and wiped her tears away. "Come on, let's sit down again and talk about what happened", she said in a now soft voice. Cat sighed quietly and sat back down with Jade.

"What happened after Tori and Andre's performance?", Jade asked. Cat waited shortly before responding. "Well, he kissed me." Jade smirked at her. "Ohhh. And why are you not happy about it? I thought you liked Robbie." "I do, but... as my best friend."

Jade raised an eyebrow. "Really?" Cat opened her mouth to respond, but Jade cut her off. "You don't just like him as your best friend, Cat. Everyone can see that. If you just wanted to be friends with him, why would you get mad at him for asking another girl out? You finally gotta realize and tell Robbie that you love him just the way he loves you."

Cat looked to the floor again as some new tears came up in her eyes. "Is it all my fault?", she asked. "What?", Jade asked back. "This mess between Robbie and me." Jade thought about a reply shortly. "I don't think it's your fault. It would probably be a lot easier if you were sure about your feelings and wouldn't avoid Robbie. He's probably really confused. Well, he always is, but you know what I mean."

Cat didn't look up. "So it is my fault", she said crying. After a short break Jade responded: "No. It's just hard sometimes to understand your feelings. Sometimes you just don't know why you feel a certain way, you know? You probably know that you're in love with Robbie, but you still feel more comfortable about the thought of him as your best friend."

Cat looked up at her and hugged her from the side. "You're right", Cat said. Jade smiled slightly from Cat's hug. Cat was leaning against her side and had slung her arms around Jade's torso. Jade eventually broke the silence. "See, you should understand that when you're together with Robbie he can still be your best friend. You can keep doing everything you used to do and also cuddle with him and everything."

Cat kept hugging Jade tightly. "Is Beck your best friend?", Cat asked. Jade mentally sighed because of how she felt about Beck at the moment. "I don't know. We fight a lot, but we're also really close. I'd say you and Beck are my best friends. There are some things I can only tell one of you, but I can basically talk about anything with both of you."

Cat sighed. "So Robbie and I would just be even closer if we were together, right?", she asked. "Of course", Jade assured her. "Thanks", Cat said. "I'm not so afraid of him being my boyfriend anymore now." "I'm glad to hear that", Jade said smiling slightly.

Then Cat eventually let go of Jade and looked at her. "So are we talking about you again now?", she wanted to know.

Jade's body tensed up again right away and for a few seconds she thought about another excuse, so she wouldn't have to talk about the problems in her relationship, but then she reminded her again that she was Jade West and supposed to be not afraid of anything. In fact, the only thing that could scare her were thoughts of insecurities, so she stopped them finally. "Okay", she answered. It was time to be honest. Maybe she would feel better after talking it off her chest.
