it legitimately was a surprise. i honestly didn't know about this.
Lucas } since I was the only one you told that it was your birthday today.. i told my family about it and we planned this and much more.
Aurelia } I know its hard being away from family, especially on your birthday.
Boz } so we decided to make you feel more at home and surprise you this morning.
Cyrus } we want to take you out for a birthday dinner later tonight.
Darius } of course, you get to pick what you want for dinner.
Marcus } we want this to be a birthday you'll never forget.
I started to cry. I felt extremely blessed to be in The Dobre House surrounded by wonderful people. this is truly a birthday I will never forget.
Me } thank you guys so much. I honestly don't know what to say. you guys have made me the happiest girl right now.
Aurelia } don't thank us. we are more than happy to make your birthday the best birthday.
we all took the time to cherish this moment and we had a group hug.
Me } my mom is calling. can i take this?

I walk upstairs to Lucas and Marcus' room and I answer. there's nothing better than to hear my moms and the rest of my family's voice. I can't say I don't miss my family because I really do. sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to be happy.
My family } HAPPY BIRTHDAY Alani!
Mom } Happy Birthday. you're finally 17. I wish i can spend your big day with you.
Me } I know mom. I wish the same thing.
we talked for 10 mins and I told her what had happened when I landed, who I met and where im staying. she was happy for me because all I wanted was to meet The Dobre Brothers and I did. I told her that they wanted to take me for a birthday dinner tonight.
Mom } i'm so glad your wish came true. okay, i'm at work now so I have to go. i'll call you when i'm not busy. I love you, have a great birthday Alani.
Me } thanks mom. i love you too, bye.
we hang up and I start to look for something to wear to dinner. I look through everything and I have nothing to wear. after sitting on the floor for 5 minutes straight, Lucas walks into the room.
Lucas } hey, are you getting ready?
Me } I was about to but I have nothing to wear.
Lucas } normally I have something for you that you can borrow but I don't. Get dressed right now.
Me } what for?
Lucas } i'm taking you shopping
Me } Lucas, it's fine. You don't have to. I can probably find something to wear.
Lucas } Don't be like that. think of it as a birthday gift from me.
I started to blush. I couldn't say no because I knew we we're just going to keep going back and forth. He had stepped out and I got dressed. he came back into the room.
Lucas } you ready?
Me } ready if you are.
Lucas } alright, let's go.
we walked down stairs and made our way to the car. part me couldn't believe that Lucas was taking me shopping. the other part was i
excited because I was going in the GTR. I've always wanted one for myself. we have arrived to the Mall.
Lucas } pick out an outfit you like, including shoes and if you want jewelry.
Me } no Lucas, that's too much.
Lucas } remember. this is my gift to you. don't worry about it.
Me } are you sure?
Lucas } yes. now start. we need to make it back early so we can all get ready.
I walked into my favorite store that they had at our mall where i'm from. I start to look for a simple dress and some black boots.
after 10 minutes of walking around and searching for a dress, I had found one. it's one I always wanted but never had the chance to get it. it was grey and I fell in love with it. so after picking out the dress, the same store had heels and boots towards the back of the store. it didn't really take me long to find what i wanted. I immediately spotted the boots i wanted. so I asked for my size and lucky they had one more in my size. I went into the fitting room and tried everything on together and I loved it all.

Lucas } Alani, come on out. I want to see.
Me } No. I want it to be a surprise.
Lucas } Okay.
I put my clothes back on and walked out. I remembered that I don't have much jewelry, just a silver, diamond ring.
Me } hey. how about I let you choose a piece of jewelry for my outfit.
Lucas } you sure?
Me } positive
he had picked out a sliver necklace with a diamond.
Lucas } here. how about this? I feel like you're into simple things. I also feel like your a sliver type of girl.
I had the biggest smile because of what he said was all true.
Me } it's perfect.
we walked to the cash register and he had paid. we made our way back to the car.
Lucas } I can't wait to see you in the outfit you picked out.
we locked eyes again. I really wanted to kiss him so bad... we got back from the mall and it was time to get ready for dinner.
Marcus } Finally, guys. we're all almost finished getting finished we have about an hour and a half till dinner. Alani have you got an idea where you want to go?
Me } not yet, i'll think about it while I get ready.
Marcus } okay, sounds good.
Lucas } let's go upstairs and get ready.
I followed him upstairs. I let him grab his clothes before i started to change. as soon as he walked out i immediately started to change because I know my makeup is what needs a lot of time to do even if i'm going for a simple look tonight.

I finished getting ready and Lucas and Marcus knock on the door and asked if I was ready..
Me } yes. come in and tell me what you think.
they walked in and I turned around to face them. I was nervous. I looked at Lucas and he was surprised. he didn't say anything.
Marcus } wow. Lucas, you got her this outfit? Alani, you look amazing.
Me } Thank you Marcus. you look amazing as well.
Lucas } you look stunning.
Me } Thank you for taking me shopping.
Lucas } you're welcome. WOW. I can't stop looking at you.
I blushed. he looked at me from head to toe. Marcus had walked out to get something downstairs.
Me } can you help me put this necklace on?
Lucas } of course.
I turned around and held my hair in a ponytail.
Lucas } there. face me now, I want to see it.
I turned around and he still had seemed surprised. I smiled.
Lucas } you are so beautiful.
we locked eyes AGAIN... Lucas placed his hand on my left cheek and leaned in for a kiss and our lips touched together. It was the most magical and powerful kiss I have ever had. I couldn't stop smiling. we then made our way downstairs where everyone was waiting for us.
Aurelia } You look beautiful Alani.
Me } Thank you.
Marcus } thought of something yet?
Me } yes. how does steak sound?
Dobre Family } perfect!
I smiled and laughed because they all said it at the same time
Boz } alright guys. let's get going.
we all went in different cars because we didn't fit in one single car. Their parents went together of course, Cyrus and Darius went together and I went with Lucas and Marcus. we followed their parents and Cyrus and Darius to the restaurant. maybe after 10 minutes we arrived.
