When Jaiden tries to kill herself and James comes and lashes out on her daughter. They end up bonding at the end and also find out that Jaiden is pregnant.
"You are just the asshole who slept with my mom!"
"Unlike your father I actually love her."
"He does love her."
"Then where is he huh? Where has he been for the last eighteen YEARS of your life Veronica?! Do his birthday gifts of the same shitty phones make up for all the bullshit he puts your mom through?!"
"You haven't been there either! You don't know what it's like!"
"You're right I don't! If I was in your shoes I would have either kill your father or kill myself because I wouldn't tolerate that bullshit!"
"See?! I'm not some man child like you! I protected my mom as much as I could for as long as I could! Don't tell me I didn't do anything!"

"Listen, I love your mom weather you think so or not. I didn't have sex with her because I was drunk or trying to just use her. I have legitimately loved her for the last thirty years of my life."
"Then how come you didn't do something for the first five or so since you knew her?"
"Because I was too worried, our work could have been ruined if we started a relationship and couldn't keep it together. I am kinda glad we didn't honestly since we both grew enough out of our stupid young adult years to actually become the people we wanted to be. We learned and adapted.
