The Hollow came and attacking Charles' sisters including Stephanie and Gillian, together with Rica and Melvin but stll inevitable, even Rica fired Hadou #4: Byakurai and Charles got slicing but still standing. Charles started to fight it and Rica defines that the one who killed his mother, a "Grand Fisher" Hollow, and eating most of women souls just like happened to her mother. "Hey Charles, that's the Hollow who killed your mother! Please listen to me now, I know all about that Hollow, eating the most women souls including your mother and it attempt to eat your sisters' souls. But you can't fight it alone, just run!" He tends to fight it.
Then, Rica plans to hit it her Kidou with a good chance, when she fires it but it retaliates to her, followed by Melvin that he getting the attention of that Hollow to take down Stephanie and Gillian, does work and Charles fight it again.
He ask it frequently, "Why did you kill my mother?! Answer me!" and it answer, "Yes, I'm the one who killed your mother because, I was hungry that I want to eat fresh women souls. I use that girl that you see as a bait, I want to eat you but your mother had fallen to my trap, that it kills her and I ate. Now, what can I do for you, kill? Hahahahaha!" Then, Charles wants it to kill, he slice it's vanes but, after he cutted down that time, he impales and it manipulates him by showing the image of a girl that last seen since childhood, "This is the child you see before? You fool, how did you save her if it is an bait, that it cause of your mother's death. Isn't she is??? Hihihihihihi!"
Charles is weaken and laying down bloody, Melvin wants him to help but Rica stopped him, "Hey Melvin, don't help him." He asks why, then she answers "You know, based on my captain's statement, there are kinds of battle. The battle for defending the pride - where you're fight to defend your pride as person and race, and the battle for defending the life - where you're fight to defend your life as person and also, your rights to live. You know how it relates? Let him fight for his pride to seek avenge for his mother."
"Don't use my mother's image to vain, monster!" Charles yelling for his pride in spite of being bloodiness, "Charles, it's your mother. I know you are fighting for me, you need to be strong and brave to overcome challenges in life. That's the life. Farewell." His' mother animated when gathering strength, and he fight that Hollow in a full strength until the partial part of Hollow cuts down, then the Grand Fisher said while escaping back to Hueco Mundo, "I'd avenge you soon! Hahahahaha!" Charles wants it to cut it down completely but Rica stops him, "Hey Charles! It's enough, you need to rest. Enough already."
In that day, the grave of his mother turns back to silence and peace, all of his sisters were saved, also his father sees his as Shinigami but he keep it secret to observe it. "Everyone safe?? Let's go back to house, I will prepare a dinner, your mother's specialty!" Everybody says, "Alright, go back and rest." Charles feels wounded even in his body. Rica has ride too. Then Melvin go back to Soul Society as he say goodbye to them. Together with Jello, Rica packed him in her bag.
