Hey, it has been a while. How are you? I am swamped with work from school, and just every day teenage life. I hope you have enjoyed the story to this point, and enjoy chapter twenty two. :)
(Arora's POV... Four months later.)
"Sit down, you can't help me." Derek says as I dry my hands from wiping down the counter.
"Derek, I am five months pregnant, not disabled." I say with a sigh.
I place my hand on my hip, like the stereotypical pregnant lady and look at him with a very serious look.
"What?" he says, knowing I am getting angry.
"Since we found out I was pregnant you've been freaking out on me. You barely let me leave the house to help with Laura's birth.
"Yeah, it is too cold outside for you." he explains and I narrow my eyes.
"I had to help Arora. Remember we barely put them in the reservation spell in time." I remind him and he nods looking down.
"You done it though, and Arora is supposed to have a way to break the curse next week." He says and I nod.
"I understand, but you have to let me do things, it isn't healthy for me to just lay in bed for five months, for me or the baby." I say and he nods, walking up to me.
He places a hand on my stomach and smiles, and I can't stay aggravated with him.
"Then we can start swimming in the pool some." He says remembering me we have an indoor pool.
"And I am going to help with the cleaning, and I am going to the cabin when Arora is ready to take the curse off of the twins." I say and he nods, letting me win.
I smile and peck his lips, and go to the sink to wash the glasses from today's blood.
The last two or three months my appetite for blood has tripled. I've definitely been drinking more than normal, if you can call drinking blood normal. My mood swings have been horrible but for the most part I can control them to a certain extent.
I have had two instances where Braxton Hicks contractions occurred and both times my magic fluctuated like the day after I done the spell on the twins, so Alorah has spelled the house so I can't use magic in it.
"Go get your bathing suit on, I can finish up." Derek says gently pulling me away from the sink.
"Okay, but hurry because when I am dressed I am not waiting." I say and walk upstairs to our room.
As I walk into the closet to get a bathing suit I knock a shirt off of the hanger, and bend over to pick it up.
As I bend down I feel a sharp pain in my stomach, and when I listen for the baby's heartbeat I don't hear anything.
I stand back up and begin to worry, and run into the kitchen with my vampire speed.
"What's..."
"Can you hear a heart beat?" I ask and he listens, eyes widening by the second.
"No, what's happening?" he asks as a tear slides down my face.
"I don' know, I have no clue." I say and pick up my phone and dial Alorah's number.
"Hello?"
"Alorah, something is wrong with the baby, there is no heartbeat." I say and she appears in front of me and throws her phone on the counter, placing her hands on my stomach.
"It..." She begins but doesn't continue.
"What's happening?" Derek asks from beside of me.
"It's heart stopped because it hurt it's self trying to do magic." she says confusing me.
