2. New Student

Ash was in his class in the school just doing some thinking. Lana was playing around with her Popplio. Mallow was trying to come up with a bunch of new recipes. Kiawe was thinking of some new dance techniques that he could manoeuvre. Sophocles was making some kind of gadget like always. And finally, Lillie was playing around with Snowy. There wasn't much to do really and the only thing that was exciting was Ash's Lycanroc. Just then, Professor Kukui walked in and everyone turned to him.

"Everyone, I have some news" Kukui exclaimed.

"What is it?" The students asked.

"We'll be getting a new student soon, so please be on your best behaviour" Kukui explained, "Oh and Ash, you might know who this is"

This really excited everyone now that a new student will come. Everyone was thinking about what they could do and how to welcome him or her. On the other hand, Ash was thinking about who this new student is after Kukui said he might've met them. I can't be Brock because he's working as a doctor. It can't be Cilan, Misty or Clemont since they're Gym Leaders. It can't be Iris since she is still in Johto. It can't be May or Dawn since they're still coordinating. And Max and Bonnie are too young to travel alone. A thought then got placed into his head and he thought maybe there is one person.

"Ash" Mallow called out snapping him out of his thoughts, "Are you gonna help with the welcoming party?"

"Oh, yeah, I will" Ash answered.

The students then went on about how they can set up the party for the new student. Everyone has been assigned a certain job to do for the party. Kiawe is in charge of music, Mallow is in charge of food, Sophocles is in charge of lights, Lana is in charge of decorations, Lillie is in charge of cleaning and Ash is in charge of utensils. Everyone got ready and started working on their job momentarily.

That night

Ash was back home laying on his bed thinking who this new student might be. Rotom noticed how deep in thought he was in so decided on asking what was up.

"Zzzt, what's up?" Rotom asked.

"I've been thinking about this new student for quite some time now" Ash started, "I think I have the slightest idea of who it might be"

"Really, who do you think it is zzt?" Rotom asked again.

"When I left Kalos, a girl named Serena kissed me before she left to Hoenn" Ash explained, "She said we'll meet again someday and this might be her"

"Zzt, you have a strong relationship with her. Zzt" Rotom stated, "Maybe she is the new student zzt."

"Hopefully, I've grown feelings for her and I really miss her" Ash exclaimed.

"Well, I hope you get to see her again zzt." Rotom replied.

"Thanks Rotom, you're the best" Ash thanked. Ash then went to bed excited for the new student's arrival.

The next day

The welcoming party is now set up and Kukui said that he'll be back in 10 minutes. They quickly were setting up the decorations and putting everything in place. Mallow also had to slap Sophocles' hand because he keeps reaching for the sweets. Kukui walked in with the new student and Ash was shocked to see who it was. He was right, the new student standing right there was none other than Serena (I'm not bothered to describe any attire changes so just picture her normally).

"Serena, it was you" Ash exclaimed.

"It's good to see you too Ash" Serena replied.

"You know her?" The other students questioned.

"Yup, I travelled with her through Kalos" Ash explained.

After the introductions, the welcoming party begun and everyone was having a good time. Ash thought that it was the right time to speak with Serena privately so he did just that. He asked her and the two walked out for a bit, Ash began talking.

"So Serena, why did you join the school?" Ash asked.

"Well, I heard you were here so I wanted to see you again" Serena explained.

"Well, I've got something to tell you" Ash said nervously.

"What is it?" Serena asked.

"Well, after you kissed me before you left, I started to gain a certain feeling and I realised that you liked me" Ash explained, "I think I have feelings for you"

"Ash, I do like you a lot, actually no, I love you" Serena confessed.

The started moving closer and closer to each other until their lips met and connected. Serena couldn't believe that she was kissing the love of her life while Ash felt as if he began something new. After breaking from the kiss, they went back to tell everyone the news and everyone congratulated them, especially Mallow.

Later that night

Serena is living in the same place as Ash so Professor Kukui allowed them to share a bed. After they had a wash and brushed their teeth, it was nearing their bed time. The two hopped into bed and snuggled up close to each other.

"I'm glad you joined, or else I'd never have you as a girlfriend" Ash exclaimed.

"Well I'm glad you have the same feelings, my dream has come true" Serena added.

"Good night Sere" Ash said.

"Good night Ashy" Serena replied. The two kissed and went to bed snuggling in each other's arms happy that they're together.
