7. A Christmas Party

I know that this will be released after Christmas but I was unable to write this since I was visiting family. Other than that, please enjoy this Amourshipping Christmas tale.

It was a cold snowy day in Pallet Town and Ash had invited all his past travelling companions over for a Christmas Party. He invited people from Misty all the way to Sophocles and was having a wonderful time. Everyone was very excited to celebrate this holiday, especially a honey-blonde haired girl. Serena was at first, a bit shy about seeing Ash, but finally built up the courage to ask him out. However, she saw the other female companions and was a bit unsure whether or not that any of them like him.

"This is great, everyone who has travelled with Ash has come to celebrate Christmas with him" Mallow exclaimed.

"I agree, and I'm surprised that Ash travelled with so many people" Sophocles stated.

"Well, travelling through seven regions does mean that I make many friends" Ash pointed out.

"This is going to be so fun, can't wait for all the presents" Bonnie cheered.

"Teehee, just like Max" May giggled.

"Excuse me, I am not like that" Max angrily said.

"Everyone, food's ready" Delia called out.

With that, everyone went into the dining area of Professor Oak's Lab. There was a huge feast on the huge table and everyone was excited. Especially Ash and May as their mouths were watering so much, it looked like they had a waterfall in their mouth. Ash and his companions all grabbed a plate and started chowing down. Meanwhile, Dawn decided to speak with Serena.

"Serena, is it?" She started.

"Yes?" Serena replied.

"You have a crush on Ash, don't you?" Dawn smirked.

"What, how do you know?" Serena asked with a blush.

"Well, I've noticed the way you look at him and something tells me that you like him" Dawn answered.

"Well, yes, I like him, I even kissed him before I left" Serena admitted.

"Wow, I bet you will easily win his heart" Dawn informed.

"But I see him following Misty in a private area" Serena pointed out.

Dawn looked towards where she pointed and sure enough, she was correct. Ash was following Misty to a private area of Oak's lab. This made her suspicious and she decided to spy on them and hear what they say. Serena didn't want to invade their privacy so she decided on staying where she was. Dawn followed the two to a nearby forest and watched as the two of them started conversing.

"Ash, there's been something I've been meaning to tell you" Misty started.

"What is it?" Ash asked.

"I-I like you" Misty confessed.

"I like you too" Ash said which made her happy, until this happened, "Just like how I like May, Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Clemont, Bonnie, Max, Brock-"

"THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT" Misty screamed.

"What do you mean?" Ash nervously asked.

"I mean that I have feelings for you" Misty told him.

This surprised Dawn from the bushes, it seems as though that Misty also had feelings for Ash just like Serna did. She wasn't sure whether or not Ash would accept her, if he did, she didn't know how to tell Serena. Dawn went back to listening what they were still on about.

"Misty, I'm sorry but, I only see you as a friend" Ash admitted.

"What?" Misty exclaimed.

"You see, you maybe my first ever companion but I never really saw you in that way" Ash explained, "I don't really feel that way towards you because there is someone else whom my heart belongs to"

"Ok then" Misty sadly said as she started walking back.

Dawn scurried back before they could see her and sat right back where she was next to Serena. She asked about what happened and all Dawn said was "No need to worry, you will have a good chance" which confused her a lot.

Later

Serena decided that it was time to confront Ash about her feelings towards him. She wasn't so sure if the kiss they had meant anything to him but Dawn reassured her that it will be alright. After gaining the courage, she asked Ash if he could talk with her privately. The two walked to the hallway in the lab and so it began.

"Ash, there's been something I've been meaning to speak to you about" Serena started.

"What is it?" Ash replied.

"The kiss we had, did it mean anything to you?" Serena asked. Ash just stood there to think about it and looked up for a second. He looked back down and gave her an answer.

"Serena, ever since that day, I've never felt like this before during my life" Ash began explaining, "You finally showed how much you meant to me and I finally realised something"

"What is it that you realised?" Serena asked.

"It's that, I have gained feelings for you" Ash answered.

Serena was surprised at what she had heard. The boy whom she had a crush on had finally broken out of his dense shell. Most of all, he also gained feelings towards her. She looked up to realise that they had been standing underneath mistletoe, must've been the reason why Ash looked up. Ash started moving closer to which Serena showed no hesitation and the two pressed their lips together. The two shared a kiss like they did in the airport only this time, it was much longer and more passionate. After breaking the kiss, the two looked at each other in the eyes.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Ash asked.

"Of course I will" Serena answered.

The two then went back to the others to tell the news.
