Chapter 6 | Going Home

It was the day after the horrible event that occurred. That guy needs to get a life. Tonight I'm going to be leaving South Carolina back to home. Together, my family packed up everything and headed down to the breakfast bar again to grab a bite to eat. We put our bags in the car but we didn't check out yet so we could take shower before we left. The reason why we didn't use our car yesterday is because we had to take the car to the shop cause it was acting weird on our way. We walked out of the hotel in the same bathing suits as yesterday. We walked to the beach since it was only a few blocks away.

Once we arrived at the beach, my Mom picked a spot for us to put our stuff down at. Cameron and I headed to the water. I had to watch Cameron so he wouldn't go to deep into the water. Cam found a girl around his age to play with and I just watched. Somebody walked over to me and lightly tapped on my shoulder. My muscles got tense and I jumped. I screamed at the person who tapped my shoulder. I turned around and blushed slightly at the sight of Jeremiah. His hair was damp in the cutest way and his skin was tan and he was toned perfectly.

Jerimiah's POV

I was walking in the warm sand and I was looking for a local. I saw a person who looked close in age and she was kinda tan, she has a sexy body too. I think it was okay that I thought she was sexy, girls think that celebrities like Chris Hemsworth are sexy, even if they have a partner, so I think I'm okay. I walked over to the girl and tapped on her shoulder lightly. She tensed up, flinched and jumped at my touch.

"Excuse me miss, do y..."

"WHAT IS IT." Once I saw who it was I started tripping over my words.

"Ohh my God, I'm so sorry, I just, then he, and I." I found what to say.

"Shh, Shh, slow down, calm down."
Her face looked slightly pink but I couldn't tell if it was just the sun or not. She wrapped her arms around me, squeezing me tight, I returned the hug.

"What happened??" Her head was still against my chest and she began sobbing before saying something.

"It, it's a big story, could I discuss it with you at this pizza place later this evening?

"I'll have to ask my parents, but sure."

"Thank you." She whispered in my chest.

Ada's POV

I can't believe what just happened, I'm hugging Jeremiah for a long time and it isn't awkward. I could still feel his warmth on my body, even when we let go. I asked Jeremiah if he wanted to spend the rest of the day together in the sun, and he agreed.

I asked my mom if I could go to the ice cream place on the boardwalk.

"No Ada, it's not safe after what happened yesterday." Jeremiah walked over confused by her statement, but he didn't question her.

"What if we go together??"

Mom looked shocked after seeing who it was, her expression changed from concerned to happy.

"Come here Jeremiah."
She started squeezing his cheeks causing me to laugh.

"Go on ahead, I'll go watch Cameron in the water."

"Thanks Mom!!!"

Jeremiah and I were walking alongside each other when he nudged me in the arm with his elbow. I playfully glared at him and did it back. We went back and forth until he gave me a side hug and smiled at me.

We arrived at the Dairy Queen and walked up to the person running it. He then asked if we were a couple. Jeremiah blurted out no sooner then I could even open mine.

"Quick to answer I see. Well you sure do look like one, arms wrapped around each other." He twisted his curly moustache.

"Well if you aren't one, that's fine by me, but you'd sure make a cute one." I blushed a crimson red.

Both of us sat down across from each other, talking about how our summer was when we weren't hanging out with each other. We left the Dairy Queen and walked around the shops.

Jerimiah's POV

"Ohh crap, it's almost 6 pm, my dad's gonna kill me." I hadn't had realized how much fun I was having.

"I'll call him, I hope he won't be too mad at me."

I called him and he reminded me that we were supposed to meet up at the pizza place soon, Ada and I headed to the pizza place.

"Thank God I checked the time."
I laughed in response to my freak out. My laugh caused Ada to laugh too. I wonder what she is thinking right now.

When Jeremiah laughs it feels like my whole world lights up, he has the best smile and his laugh is contagious)
"It's so cuuute!!"

(Back to Jerimiah's POV)

"What's cute??" I had a puzzled look on my face.

"Oooh, thaat uhh, puppy!!"

"That dog is cute!!"
Just like you.... Huh, where did that thought come from, weird.

We arrived at the pizza place and took our seats. We were all with my Mom and Dad, my older brother, my younger brother, Ada's Mom and brother, and of course, Ada!!

The guy who took our order was a emo looking guy who was close in age. He kept in looking at Ada, I didn't like it, I guess that's just my best friend in me. But still she seemed to get along with him so well, he even blushed at her when she messed up her words again. She smiled before he left.

"Helloooo???? Jeremiaaaaah??? You still there????? Earth to Jeremiah!!!!" I space out but my older brother Liam, glanced over to me, wiggling his eyebrows. I snapped back into reality.

"Ahh, yeah, just over thinking something."

Ada discussed to us all that happened yesterday, and was almost in tears by the end of it. I just wanted to give her a bear hug and I wanted to beat that piece of crap to a pulp. The waiter, his name was Braylen, heard the story as well and gave Ada a giant hug, causing me to feel a bit jealous. Her head was even laying on his shoulder. Everyone was getting ready to leave and I said bye to Ada and her family. When she was about to leave, I ran over to her and gave her a hug and I whispered in her ear that if anything were to happen, I would protect her, cause that's what Bffs are for. I said goodbye.

Ada's POV

As I was leaving the restaurant Jeremiah gave me a hug and made a promise to me, to always protect me. I didn't want him to leave, his warmth still with me. We drove back to the hotel and took our showers and checked out. We were on our way back home to good ol Ohio. I video called Samantha and Jeremiah to keep me company on the long drive home that awaited me.

I hope you enjoyed this part, I was skeptical as to do this or not, ya know, add Jeremiah to this part but I did because this is a story about a girl who is in love with one of her best friends. Im glad I wrote it now that I've seen it. Good night guyssss.
