The truth had shaken Diksha. It had been three days and she was trying her best to avoid Arjun, and luck was with her for Arjun was totally absent from the college those days.
That incident was still clinging to her mind. She had accused his friend and his sister of cheating on Mansi. Arjun's words were repeatedly playing in her brain."Do you even know what are you speaking about? Rishav is not only a friend, he's a brother figure to me. I've never met any honest and loving person like him. He crazily loves his girlfriend, Mansi. And the girl you suspect to be his secret girlfriend is, by the way, my sister, Rishav's childhood friend, she has already been betrothed and is very happy with her fiancè."
Diksha was constantly cursing herself for doubting Rishav. Her biggest fear was Arjun spitting out the incident before Mansi and Rishav. She couldn't be able to stand Mansi's emotional drama.
Completely lost in her thoughts, she was slowly heading towards the cafeteria where Kirti, Manisha, and Kunal were waiting for her when she crashed into a wall, wait, she realized it wasn't a wall, but someone."Ouch! Can't you see?" She raised her face, rubbing her forehead when she realized, she had bumped on to...a devilishly handsome guy.
"Hey, babe! I think you, bumped into me?" He smirked at her.
She immediately distanced herself from him.
"Can't you...hey! what did you just call me?" She gave him a deadly glare.
And what did he do? He simply shuddered his shoulder and walked past by her.
Diksha was taken aback by that stranger's behavior. He called her 'babe'. From which angle she was looking a 'babe' to him. She made a face thinking about it. Weird things were happening with her. She tried to throw that stinking thing out of her mind when a flashback played before her. That stranger was the same guy, she and Mansi had seen staring at her in the party, thrown by her mother's college.
Diksha was still hooked to her position when Manisha came searching for her.
"There you are, Diksha Sharma! What are you doing here? We have been waiting for you for 15mins. And you are standing here," Manisha chided her.
"I was just coming, Mani," she grinned trying to forget about that stupid encounter.
"Hey Diksha why did you take so long? I'm literally dying out of hunger," Kirti whined. "Anyway guys, what's today's plan? It has been so many days we have hung out together," Kirti asked.
"Mom had left for a meeting today, she'll return tomorrow evening, so, why not to have a movie session in my house tonight?" Diksha excitedly asked.
"That will be great, I..." Kirti interrupted Kunal.
"Diksha, I and Manisha are not coming," she charged.
"Why?"
" Promise that the two of you will not watch any freaking action movie, which we are tired of watching every time with you in your house, then we'll think of coming," Manisha demanded.
"So, you guys want me to watch those crazy romantic movies? No way!"
"Girls! Stop your cat, dog or whatever fight you are into. We'll watch a comedy movie. Agree?"
They all agreed on Kunal's decision.Diksha was waiting for her friends. It was already seven at evening. Kunal was asked to get Pizza and coke. Kirti and Manisha were bringing noodles and Diksha had got ice cream for everyone.
"Guys, why did you take so long? Diksha shouted opening the door for them to come.
"We've to buy all these things, madam," replied Kunal.
"I'm so hungry, I've already finished eating two bowls of ice cream" she complained taking the bags from their hands.
"You hungry elephant, have you left any thing for us also?" Kirti asked dashing towards the refrigerator.
"Thank God, she hasn't emptied the complete stock, but a whole lot of." She sighed finding out that the ice cream hadn't completely extinct but endangered.
"Guys, I think there's a change in the plan," Manisha made an announcement. "We'll watch Annabelle."
"Holy crap! No way!" Kunal jumped out of the couch. "I'm not watching that cursed doll, boys are not into dolls, you know."
"Wow! We are ready," Kirti and Diksha chorused.
"But I think there's a scared girl in this room," Diksha asked." Who's she?"
"Kunal," Kirti immediately replied. They all burst into laughter but Kunal.
"Very funny, we'll see who is the scared girl in this room," he replied annoyingly. With their snacks and refreshments, everybody took their places. The three girls were sitting on one couch, Diksha and Kirti on either side and Manisha squeezed between them. They made Kunal sit on the other couch. As he was already laughed at, by them, so he agreed to sit alone without making a fuss.
The movie started. Initially, they were all happily munching on their snacks and enjoying the movie, but about half an hour later, a horror scene popped up, now fear was creeping under everyone's skin. All three of them were huddled upon each other. Manisha was watching with one eye closed and was squeezing Diksha's hand.
Suddenly Kirti jumped out of fear.
"What happened? Diksha turned around to ask.
Kirti was angrily looking at Kunal. She had shrieked in fear when Kunal had patted her from behind to ask her to pass the water jug.
"You jerk! You scared the shit out of me," Kirti said in a crying tone.
"Now, who's the crying girl?" Kunal mocked
"You two shut up!" Diksha silenced them. Fear was definitely making them hella crazy.Again they were engrossed in the movie.
After ten minutes had passed, a sudden thundering sound rattled across the whole house and the lights went off."Oh nooo," everyone cried. Outside heavy downpour had started.
"Oh, God! There's a storm outside. We shouldn't have watched Annabelle, now the evil soul is here", Kunal said with a shaky voice.
"I agree," Kirti nodded.
"I can't see you Diku, where are you?" Asked Kirti in a hushed tone.
"I'm right under you stupid, how much do you eat?" Diksha pushed aside Kirti from her top.
Manisha switched on the flashlight of her phone.
"Smart girl," Kunal sighed in relief.
Suddenly they heard a sound. A crashing sound.
"Do you hear that sound?" Kirti said in a trembling voice.
"Something fell on the floor?" Diksha was confused.
"Something or someone? Is any one hiding in your house, Diksha?" Manisha asked nervously.
"Or is it Annabelle? You shouldn't have hurt her feelings, Kunal, by calling her the cursed doll. Now she has come for you" Kirti interrupted. Everyone was petrified and holding their breath.
"Have to check it guys, I think there's someone inside," Diksha asked in a hushed tone.
"It might be a mouse," consoled Manisha.
" Who's coming with me?" Diksha asked.
No one replied.
"Seriously! You guys are all 'bheegi billi'(It is a Hindi proverb, it means a scared person)
"If the brave Diku is scared then who are we," sighed Kunal.
"I'm not scared, but if you want me to go and check by myself, then I'm going," she hopingly asked to make others agree to accompany her, but in vain."Diksha, you are the bravest here, you go ahead we'll be right here for help," Manisha encouragingly said to her.
"Oh God, save me today and I'll donate half of my makeup products in the temple," Kirti was muttering.
"Who donates makeup product in the temple?" Diksha quizzed.
"I will! they are my most valuable things." She replied. No doubt fear was freaking her out.Diksha got up. On one hand, she was holding her phone with its flashlight on and on the other hand, she hadn't got any thing nearby, in spite of four flashlights glowing, the room was still pretty dark, so she picked up her fork with which she was eating her noodles.
"I'll poke the eyes of whoever it is with this," she showed them the fork.
"A fork? Now it is definitely going to be killed," Kunal said sarcastically.
" I'm with you," Manisha too stood up, picking up her fork, to join Diksha.
They moved together slowly towards the room from where the sound had come.
Diksha was at the front.
"Mani-" she turned around to find Manisha not there. She was standing at the entrance of the room all alone. She didn't want to return back. Fear was surely gripping her mind. Her pulse ramped up.
She entered the room, flashing the light across it.
Streaks of sweat were trickling down her face. She wept it with her sleeve.
An utmost silence was there in the room. She could hear her frantically beating heart and her rough breathing.
There was no one there. She flashed the light once again across the room.
She turned around to leave the room believing that the sound was made by a mouse and planned to get poison for the mouse, when... she heard a faint sobbing sound, behind her.
She slowly turned around, a shriek escaped from Diksha's mouth.

A doll was sitting on the bed, sobbing.***
Hey dear,
Hope I was able to make your heart skipped and beat frantically like Diksha's.
To know what the 'possessed doll' did with the shrieking girl, help me to achieve my goal, mentioned above.Don't hesitate to point out the errors, I'm too busy scaring people, don't have time to edit.
Yours possessed doll,
