Chapter 4 - That Place we Love

Taehyung was walking down through the woods of the hill out of the city to reach the old pool of an abandoned school in the middle of nowhere. He was tired, it was still early morning, but Namjoon told him to be there. He asked Namjoon to not tell the others about what happened to him because he felt terrible. There's no words to describe how he felt in that moment. Empty was not enough. He was not ready to tell the others, it was hard enough telling it to Namjoon.

He lay on the old mattress that was placed in the middle of the pool, while looking at a picture of him and his father. He threw it away, closed his eyes and waited.

That morning, Namjoon called Seokjin and told him that they needed to anticipate the trip. Jin told him everything the others was going trough in that moment, and he agreed that they needed a break right away before everything got worse. Namjoon was shocked when he heard from him that Jimin and Hoseok attempted suicide, that (Y/N) almost died from overdose and Yoongi almost set on fire his own room on purpose. Lucky, none of them were injured or sick, but they got really close to death this time.

They needed time together, it was they only way they could be happy and safe.

Now they were all climbing the hill together. Even after what happened in that terrifying week, when they were together they were happy. Their faces were calm and peaceful as they walked on the dead leaves path, while the light seeped through the tall trees.

"Guys, where's Jin hyung?" asked Jungkook looking around. Namjoon turned around and answered to the young boy: "He's gonna be there soon, he needed to grab something at his house first. He will be a little later". Jungkook nodded at him and kept walking. They finally reached the pool and got to the edge of it, jumping in.

"What is he doing there, oh god" (Y/N) chuckled at the sight of Taehyung laying there on the mattress alone: "Is he sleeping?". They got close to him and Namjoon poked him on the arm saying: "What are you doing?".

They all chuckled and he pulled Taehyung up. As he saw them, the young boy immediately had a bright smile on his face. They all hugged him and teased him for sleeping on that mattress. At some point, Jungkook turned around and exclaimed: "Oh! It's Jin hyung!" while pointing at one of the edges of the pool. Jin was there filming them with a camera, and smiling at his friends finally having fun and being happy. He knew everything that happened to most of them during the week and he was heartbroken for not being able to help them. He didn't know about Taehyung tho...in fact, Namjoon was the only one who knew it.

Jin jumped in the empty pool and joined them. Tae hugged him and they were all so happy. Just a few moments later and they were already having fun like crazy.

'You can smile as long as we're together'

Jungkook was pulling a cart with a screaming Yoongi on and the others were laughing so hard at the scene, Jin still filming them. They then played rock, paper, scissor and arm wrestling. Jimin and Hoseok playing sword fight, singing and dancing, making fun of Namjoon by painting graffiti behind him. At some point Hoseok even fell asleep, and Yoongi sat near him while Jin took a picture of him.

Jungkook and (Y/N) were on the edge of the pool, walking while staying in balance, and when they saw them they immediately run to them to be part of the picture. They shoved themselves on Hoseok's other side, bumping in him and waking him up, causing them to have a picture with a sleepy Hobi in it. The older boy didn't lose the chance to hit them for waking him up.

They had fun all day together, and at the sunset, they all sat on the edge of the pool watching the view. Taehyung climbed to a higher spot to see better and looked around, with a melancholic face.
