Chapter 63

**still Althea's POV:

Later that day, around 12 we all went to the beach because it was "activity of the week".

The sun was really out, the minute I step foot outside I felt like I was burning.

When our class got to the beach there were actually a lot of people there. It was a bunch of other schools along with ours,

The minute we step foot on sand everyone parted ways.

Others went directly to the water, letting it splash all over them.

Others just sat on the sand by the beach.

And some went to grab a cold drink, I saw a beach volleyball net set up.

I knew what I was going to do,

"Hey" I heard a voice behind me,
I was startled.

"Oh hey!"

It was dj and the other guys we saw the first day here.
"You guys up for a volleyball game?" He smirked.

I was the only one to answer to his offer, Anna, Andrea, Jen, Maria and Mae were all gooey eyed over the hot shirtless guys who met, I laughed.

"Yeah sure!"

"Let's go!"

I saw Hayes give me a look, he was in the distance behind dj, hayes's looks scared me sometimes, because sometimes I don't even know if I saw hate, love, other or all of the above in his eyes.

I ignored him.

"Everything okay?." I looked back at dj and smiled, "huh? Yeah, sorry. Let's go"

He threw me a flashing smile and all of us ran over to the beach volleyball court and we started playing a game.

We made it guys verses girls to make it more fun.

The guys served first, dj served at us and Jen got a good dig,

She passed it up to Mae and Mae set me,

"Althea!" She called,

A huge memory flashed back into my mind as the sun flashed into my eye.

I tried to remember it all,

My routine and everything.

It too me a while under the pressure but I got it over.

We exchanged high fives.

After a while I got tired. I left the game to get a drink of lemonade at the stand.

I ordered my lemonade and turned around,

And my drink spilled over me.

"Hey what the heck!" I yelled out, could this guy watch out where he's going? Geez.

It took me a few seconds when I realized who it was.. Dj
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," I said, I yelled 'what the heck' so loud that people turned and looked.

I felt my cheek flush red of embarrassment.
"No, no, I'm sorry it's my fault" dj took the lemonade cup from me, not like there was anything left anyways.

"What can i do to make this better and make it up to you?" He said as he laughed,
I laughed also, "well you can-"
"HEY! Leave her alone"

I turned my head..

Hayes.

"Hayes, he wasn't doing anything"
"Yeah, sorry man, I wasn't-"
"Let's go Althea" and he grabbed my wrist, as he dragged me away from dj and the lemonade stand.

I mouthed the words 'I'm sorry, I'll see you later' to dj, he smiled at me and nodded his head.
