Althea's POV:
I woke up around 12 pm. Not to early and not to late. I told my mom everything last night, from the trip to Florida & about Jeff's party. She seemed okay with both of it,

I was surprised actually, normally it would take at least 3-5 hours of begging, but today she had the biggest smile on her face,

I was going to miss that smile for a week.

I didn't do a lot today, I was mostly on my phone. Twitter, vine, Instagram that stuff. And then I saw a photo.

"@hayes_instagram posted a photo: 😚❤️Throwback w/ @HaleyAnderson" the photo was a pic of them from the Christmas party a few weeks ago, at the porch greenhouse.

I bit my tongue holding in the tears. No Althea,
No crying.

I sniffled once and decided to get ready for Jeff's birthday and figure out what I was going to give to him as a gift

I decided to give him a $25 gift card to sport check.

I wore my red skinny jeans, black combat boots and a black blouse with some ruffles on it.

And I also straightened my hair.

After that I just scrolled through my social medias until mom would drive me to Jeff's place.

Around 5:30 my mom dropped my off and I saw through the window that most people were already there.

I rung the doorbell and Jeff opened it, "happy birthday!" I said as I hugged him,

"Thank you! Thanks for coming," he smiled, he was wearing a nice blue shirt and black jeans and his hair was up with a perfect quiff. I handed him his gift and went to talk to the others who were already there.

Maria and raffy (Rafael) were already there, I sat with them, along with Jen Andrea. Chandler wasn't here yet,

A few moments later everyone arrived. Chandler came first and he was wearing a red varsity that really brought out his dark brown eyes,

Hayes came along with Haley, they were holding hands as they came in.
Most of us gave Haley a dirty look,

But I just looked at Hayes and smiled at him.

If Hayes being by best friend is the only way I would have him in my life then that's what it'll be.

I wasn't going to argue,
I just needed him in my life,

"Let's go downstairs and watch a movie!" Jeff said,
We all agreed. We put on 'insidious' and we dimmed the lights to a pitch black.

I sat beside raffy and Maria towards the side of the room

Chandler tried to grab a seat next to me but raffy took it.

Typical raffy,

Jen, Andrea and Anna sat on the couch cause they were really "afraid"

Jeff, chandler and his football friends, along with Hayes and Haley who were still holding hands and cuddling sat in the front.

We were half way through the movie when chandler said he was going to the bathroom, and Haley wanted to get a drink.

I don't know what took Haley so long to get a drink and why chandler had to piss that long,

What, did he drink a gallon of water before he came here?

I made an excuse to go upstairs.
"I'm going to go grab some food" I said, getting up from my spot.

"I'll come with" Hayes said,

I heard some quiet oh's from Jen and Anna, followed by some "get some!" Jokes by the guys, and Maria and Raffy made some obvious 'coughing'

I rolled my eyes as I went up the stairs and Hayes followed.

We went to the kitchen to where the chips and drinks were and started talking,

"Wheres Haley?" I asked,
"Don't know" Hayes said as he shrugged his shoulders grabbing some chips,
I grabbed some Mountain Dew and took a sip, "so how's you and Haley going?"
"Were doing good.."
"Hayes, are you sure?"
"Yeah.. Why would we not be okay?"
"Hayes, I'm your Best (female) friend"
"And..?"
"I've known you for quite a long time, I know how you're feeling before you even know yourself"
He chuckled,
"Sorry honey, you believe that"

A part of me got all fluttery when he said honey. But I knew I had to fight that fluttery feeling.

"Do you always get the last word?" I said to Hayes sarcastically
"Why? Got a problem?" He joked,
I rolled my eyes,

This was our friendship.
Arguing and trying to out do each other,
But yet, sometimes we never really gave up on each other,

After all that drinking of Mountain Dew I had to go to the bathroom.
"I gotta pee" I said,
"Very nice use of words, I'll meet you downstairs" Hayes said as he grabbed another handful of chips and went down the stairs to the basement.

I went into this long hallway in Jeff's house, of course I didn't KNOW which door was the bathroom so I just knocked on the first one I saw.

I knocked and when no once answered I opened it,
It wasn't the bathroom..
It was the bedroom,

Jeff's bedroom.

And I couldn't believe what I saw.
