chapter 5

Megan's POV

Next day I didn't want to move, last nights event kept circulating through my head and I kept getting upset over it. Jason saved me, I don't know what I would have done if he didn't come when he did, I'm internally grateful.

I heard my phone buzz when mean I got a text message. I looked over and noticed I had 2 text messages, one from Finn and another from Jason, both asking if I want to meet up with them. I groaned loudly, who do reply to? I text Finn back saying that I'm not allowed to see anyone because I still am grounded and told Jason that he could come round since I can't leave the house, it's not like I'm going to say no to him, I mean have you seen him? As much as I didn't want to do anything or make any human interaction.. it's the least I could do for Jason.

I put on a bit of makeup on and got changed into something more acceptable for when Jason comes round and ran downstairs to tell my parents that I'm expecting someone.

"Hey dad, is it okay if one of my friends come round for awhile?" I asked as nicely as I could.

"Who?" He asked looking unsure.

"Jason" I replied.

"The guy you went to the party with?" He asked suddenly turning into protective dad mode. I just nodded. He looked at me seriously but my puppy dog eyes cracked him and he sighed.

"Fine but not for too long considering you are still grounded!" He said sternly.

"Thanks dad!" I smiled. The doorbell then rang and I raced over to the door. Jason was looking good, he was wearing a simple white tshirts and jeans but he pulled it off well.

"Hey!" He smiled.

"Hey, come in!" I said and he walked in. He looked around and took in his surroundings.

"Nice place" He said.

"Thanks!" I grinned, "come upstairs, I don't want my parents questioning you like I know they would!" I explained and he laughed slightly. He followed me upstairs and into my bedroom.

"Woah, you have.. a lot of posters!" He stated in amazement.

"Yeah, I know" I laughed and sat down on my bed, he followed suit and sat next to me.

"You still grounded?" He asked.

"Yeah, that's why I offered for you to come here or I wouldn't have been aloud out!" I explained and he nodded his head.

"Shall was watch a movie?" He suddenly asked. I smiled with a nod.

"You like Disney?" I asked.

"Duh, who doesn't!" He replied and I laughed, as least we have something in common, I thought. I walked over to my DVD rack and picked out The Lion King and slotted it in the DVD player. I saw that Jason was laying on my bed patted the space next to him for me to fill, I slowly walked over and laying next to him, his arms immediately wrapped round my waist and I smiled. Little gestures like that mean a lot.

Halfway through the movie I felt Jason staring at me, I looked at him and met his gaze, he laughed awkwardly when I noticed which made me blush a little. I've never realised how much I'm starting to like Jason up until now.. do you think he feels the same away? Of course not, he just feels sorry for you.. who are you kidding, he's popular and you're not! I hate that stupid little voice in my head.. but I guess it's right, why would he like me, he's popular and I'm just a nobody.

"You okay?" He asked me. I looked up and noticed a worried expression on his face.

"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine" I smiled not realising that I zoned out.
