"So, Peter is coming?"

I looked up at Norman and shrugged, "He said so."

"Hm." he hummed, pacing the living room.

Raising an eyebrow, I shifted to where I was sitting on my feet, "You said it was fine."

"No, I said nothing about him coming here. I also didn't say anything about calling him."

"But-"

"This could be bad, Peyton."

"He wouldn't tell anyone where I am or where he's going. I trust him."

"I don't."

"What?" I laughed, shaking my head, "You don't even know him."

"I know more about him than you think; everyone at Oscorp does."

I stared at him, furrowing my eyebrows. Did he mean that they all know he's Spider-Man? I shook my head slightly, "Well, if you know him that much, then you know he would never put my life in danger."

"He already is," Norman sighed loudly, running his hands down his face, "I have to go. If Peter shows up, neither of you leave this cabin, understand?"

I shrugged slightly and watched him walk towards the door. He let out another breath before finally stepping outside. I groaned and laid down on the couch, covering my face with my arms.

If they all know about Peter being Spider-Man, then why haven't they done anything to him? I quickly sat up, my eyes wide as my mind went back to the man who was on the glider months ago. The Green Goblin. I looked towards the door, my mind working quickly. It had to be Norman who turned into that.

So why was he helping me? I ran a hand through my hair and stood up, jumping when there was multiple knocks on the door. I made my way over to it and opened it just a crack, glancing out. I smiled brightly, opening it the rest of the way, "Peter." I breathed.

He quickly wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close to his chest, "You're okay. Oh my God, you're okay." he mumbled.

I laughed slightly and pulled away from him slightly, "I have to tell you something."

-*-

"So you think he's the Green Goblin?"

"Don't you?" I asked, "It all makes sense."

"It doesn't that he's helping you."

"Maybe he's not," I stated, looking up into his brown eyes, "What if he's helping those guys at Oscorp?"

"He could be." Peter nodded, his hand softly running up and down my back, "We need to get you out of here."

"Where is here?" I asked him.

"Somewhere in Tennessee," he replied, "Being Spider-Man really helps me get around."

I stared at him, "You came all the way to Tennessee just for me?"

"I'd do anything for you." he smiled, pressing his forehead to mine.

I smiled back and pressed my lips to his gently, his hands moving up to cup my face. After a few moments, I pulled away, "I've missed that."

"I've missed you," he whispered, "I was a mess when I thought you were dead."

"But you figured out I wasn't."

"It just didn't add up," he chuckled quietly, his brown eyes meeting mine, "Let's go. We're going to get you out of here and I'm going to protect you with everything in me."

I nodded, kissing him once more before standing up, "I know you will."
