Forgive the slow updating everybody! My cruise got extended due to hurricane Maria but I'm safe back in the states.

If they're any Puerto Rican native readers or if you have any family out there or the islands, my prayers are with you and your family 🙏🏾

Thanks for everyone's support

"Damn! You good?," I huffed between breaths as I covered my boobs with the sheets. Again, he didnt answer, but simply walked in the bathroom and shut the door.

Kaine really hadn't talked much since I came back to campus, but this nigga been fucking me like we dying tomorrow. Of course I'm not complaining, but Kaine doesn't usually try to fuck me all day, let alone being this rough. I don't know what set him off in Houston, but I don't think my girl could take another one of these rounds.

"You hungry?" he asked blandly pulling on his boxers and sweatpants.

"What's wrong?" I asked sitting up.

He shrugged, "Nothing. I'm going to Chick fil a. That's cool with you?"

"Come here." He reluctantly took a seat next to me and I just looked at him. I stared him dead in the eyes, but couldn't really pick up on his mood. "You been quiet since I been back. You okay?" I asked genuinely, resting my hand on his leg.

He sighed, "My bad, it's not you. Just got some family news that ain't sit right with me."

"You sure you don't wanna talk about it?"

He cracked a small smile, "I'm good, baby," he assured, pecking my forehead.

While he went to grab the food, I showered and straightened up. Kaine been hitting so good neither one of us had unpacked, so I did that and decided to finish some assignments.

Kassius surprisingly hadn't called my phone. He told me to get at him through Shakur, but I figured if he didn't he'd find me. After all this time, my heart and head was clear of Kassius but all along he was present in the back of my mind. Just seeing him those couple of times made me curious about what was going on with him nowadays. It'd honestly kill me to know he was still fucking around, but it wouldn't be a surprise. As smart as Kash is, he never believed it for himself. Selling dope damn sure isn't a cake walk, even more complicated when you play smart. The same energy a nigga can put into the streets, why not do the same for a job or school?

Once Kaine was back, we ate and worked on homework. The team had an off day from practice and workouts so we stayed in snd watched movies all day. I could tell whatever family drama he was dealing with was still on his mind, but I didn't pry.

"Can I ask you something?" he asked as my hands rubbed through his curls.

"What's up?"

"Whatever happened to your pops?" Taken off guard, my hands stopped and so did my heartbeat for a second. "It's straight if you don't wanna talk about it."

"No, um, my mom and dad were married and everything. He was present for me and Shakur's childhood. My dad was a truck driver, so he was gone a lot. Well, one day they had a big ass fight when he came home from a trip. He was gone more after that, if that was even possible."

I took a minute before blowing out a deep sigh, "I started high school and there was this one girl that look a little familiar. She couldn't stand my ass but I didn't even know the bitch. Come to find out, my dad had a whole daughter around the time my mom was pregnant, a whole other family. The truck driving shit was a cover up, he was moving guns and dope with his brothers. The bitch he was fucking moved here to make him tell my mom about them, but that's just a whole other shit storm."
