Chapter 16

Allison's POV

I lazily opened one eye to look at the clock and read 7:30 a.m. I threw my sheets across the room and ran to the bathroom. Are you fucking kidding me it always happens to especially when i come home tired. I tried humanly possible to brush my teeth also getting dressed. The run to the kitchen was quick, I was startled by my mum making noise. She looked at me with blood shot eyes also pain. It seemed if she was crying the whole night but when I arrived home she looked perfectly fine.

"Mum" breaking the silence

"Yes" she responded

"Are you okay?"

"I couldn't be better" being sarcastic

"Stop lying" rolling my eyes at her

"Just tell what has you so down" pleading her

"Well I got a call-"

"Shit!!" I only have 5 minutes til my shift starts!!" I yell

"I'm sorry mum but i have to go we'll talk later on bye love you" placing a wet kiss on her cheek

"Bye" she said quietly

I zoomed to my car while putting the car in ignition and rapidly drove as fast as I could. The car drive seemed longer than usual but I didn't mind. I stepped out of my car and tried as fast as I could arrive to the store. Time was passing me quickly I needed to be there once I opened the door I dashed to check in. The place seemed so empty which was quite weird since at this time people starting walking in to get there coffee. Ian was no where to be found he either took the day off or is late but I hope he does come because hes my only source of entertainment around here. And on cue Ian came through the door with dark circles under his eyes.

"What happened to you?" I asked with curiosity

"I couldn't sleep last night, I kept tossing and turning" he yawned

"Well you could've stayed home but you would leave me alone dealing with crazy people" laughing a bit

"True" joining with me

"Lets get the day going cause I have other things to do"

"Your wish is my command my lady" he said with a posh accent

"Shut up and hurry up"

The day went pretty by fast I thought it would be longer but it wasn't. I guess that's how are lives are everything goes so fast and we never have enough time appreciate what we have but complain. We should be happy what we at least have. I drove home which was boring I really needed to be home to hear the news that my mum was going to tell me. This news could change anything even my own life but I had to patient. I parked and ran inside the house to find my mum cooking in the kitchen which in fact smelled good. I slipped of my shoes and went towards the kitchen to greet my mum.

"Hey mum" giving her a small kiss on cheek

"How was your day?" she asked

"Good and yours"

"It was okay" sadly replying

"Mum can you please tell me what you were going to tell me this morning?"

"Fine but I don't know how you're going to react" being cautious

"Its okay I can take it" smiling at her

"Well I got a call last night and it was the hospital"

"And?" I said confusingly while grabbing a cup and pouring myself of water

"Um this is the part I don't know how you're going to react" saying timidly

"Since it was the hospital-"

"Was it grandma?" i said taking a big gulp of water

"No just let me finish"

"It was you're father and it turns out he was found dead"

After those words left her mouth I dropped my cup and it shattered into pieces all over the kitchen floor. The memories started flooding from the insults to the beating and to the bruises on my stomach. That man made my life a living hell in which I had to deal with so many years. The man that I hated was now gone.

Sorry guys I didn't update sooner but I've been busy lately and I've been stressed about school too. This was a filler sorry it was really short but its all I have for now.
