After school I took Zach home so he didn't have to walk, along with the rest of the boys as usual.

Jonah had a car but his dad usually takes him to and from school to save gas so I began giving him rides home.

"See ya tomorrow Daniel." I waved to Daniel before he shut the door after getting out of the car.

I watched and waited until he got inside before pulling out of his driveway.

I was gonna just head home, but then I remembered how Jack didn't show up to school today, so I decided to go see what's up.

I drove the 8 minutes to his house in complete silence.

I parked my car in his driveway and pulled out the key before getting out and walking up to his big brown door.

Knock knock knock

I knocked three times and then stood there on the porch patiently, waiting for someone to answer the door.

Jacks mom answered the door a few seconds later, like she had been expecting a knock.

"Skylar! What a surprise! It's been so long since I've seen you. My god you're so beautiful." She smiled as she pulled me in for a tight hug.

"Oh thank you, you're so sweet. I was wondering if Jack was home." I said as I stepped back a little bit.

"Umm Jack isn't feeling very well today." She replied, looking down at her hands.

"Oh... can I see him?" I asked.

"I think he just wants to be alone, he's been sleeping all day, won't even let me come in his room." She chuckled.

"Oh ok. Do you know when he'll be back at school?"

"I don't know, probably tomorrow."

"Ok cool, sorry for bothering you."

"Oh no worries sweetie. You have a great day." She said as she began shutting the door.

"You too mrs carter." I smiled as I waved goodbye before walking off the porch and back to my car.

I wish she would have let me see him. He always cheers me up when I'm sick, I wish I could have done the same.

I sighed before just driving home.

I tried to do my homework that was due the next day, but my mind just kept wandering to Jack and if he was ok.

I was really worried about him. For the passed couple of months he's been acting really weird, and it's just getting worse.

I wish he would just tell me what was going on, didn't he trust me? I certainly trusted him, more than most people.

After I was finally finished with my homework, I decided to call Alex, even though she was a full 12 hours ahead of us and it was 7:30 in the morning for her.

"Heyyy babe!" She exclaimed after she answered the FaceTime call.

"Alex! I miss you! It's been too long since we've talked!" I replied back, my voice louder than intended.

"I know right! I've honestly been so busy here with some of the charity work we've been doing. We've been building houses and huts and helping feed and clothe people. It's been so much fun, and I've made some friends, but I've been kept so busy. You literally caught me at the perfect time, but I don't have a lot of time to talk right now, we're walking to breakfast." She explained.

"That's so cool dude I'm jealous. But there's something serious I really need to talk to you about." I became serious, hoping I didn't end up ruining her day.

"Ok. What is it?"

"It's about Jack. Something's wrong."

"Like what? Do you want me to text him and check on him?"

"He broke his phone a couple weeks ago and he still doesn't have a new one. But he's just been acting weird, since I saw him for the first time all summer on the first day of school. I don't know what happened at his dads house, but he is not the same, and it just keeps getting worse. I don't think I've even seen him smile in weeks and stayed home from school today."

"Jack staying home from school?! Yeah something's definitely wrong. It sounds like he's depressed." She shrugged.

"Oh my god you're right, why didn't I think of that?"

"You need to talk to his mom or something and get him son help."

"Yeah, I will. But it doesn't quite add up with a few things, like the other night we had a movie night and he would tense up and move away every time I touched him, almost like he was in pain."

"Whoa. I don't know. I gotta go now babe, talk to his mom, he needs help, he needs to get better. Let me know if anything happens or if he gets hurt. If anything happens to either of you I swear to god I will fly out there in a heartbeat."

"You're the best Alex. I love you, have fun! Talk to you later."

"Love you babe!" She smiled before she hung up the call.

Maybe Jack is depressed. But I didn't know how to help him.

His condition was really worrying me and I was terrified at the thought of losing him. All that could run through my mind for the rest of the night, was what if he was horribly depressed and ended up committing suicide?
