I was shocked at what he had just done.

Jack just kissed me.

I didn't say anything, I just looked up at him confused.

"Sorry, I just....I.." he began lifting his arm from around me as he leaned back.

"It's ok Jack, you don't need to explain yourself. It's ok." I placed my hand on his chest and looked up at him.

"You're my best friend, I shouldn't be kissing my best friend. I've just been wanting to kiss you for the longest time and..."

"Wait, you've been wanting to kiss me?" Did Jack have feelings for me.

He didn't reply, he just looked down at his hands.

I'd never thought of us like that. Well I did when we first met, i was a young hormonal teenager that liked and imagined myself with any boy that talked to me really.

"Im sorry, I'm just fucking everything up, as usual. I should go." Jack started getting up, but I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back, but he flinched and pulled away.

"Jack stop. It's ok. Calm down." I placed my hand in his.

He put his head in his hands and began crying.

I moved his hands away and climbed on top of him, straddling his lap, and then laid my head in the crook of his neck.

"I love you Jack. You'll always be my Jackie." I said quietly, holding on to him tightly.

He laid his head on me as his arms wrapped around me, squeezing me tight.

"I love you too." His voice cracked.

We sat like that for a while before he decided to go home.

The car ride was pretty much silent, I didn't even have music playing. It wasn't awkward or anything, just, quiet.

Jack left the car without saying anything, but I wasn't letting him leave without a hug so I got out to hug him.

"What are you doing?" He asked quickly.

"Just giving you a hug, is that not ok?" I walked towards him.

He gave my a quick hug, but just before he let go I heard yelling coming from inside of his house.

"Are you mom and her boyfriend fighting?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Yeah, yeah they are. I gotta go. See ya tomorrow." He rushed inside, but I stood there for a minute listening.

His moms boyfriend was yelling pretty loud and I was worried, but I decided it was none of my business and I should just let them sort out their problems so I left.

As I climbed back in my car, my phone began ringing. It was Daniel.

"Hey what's up?"

"Hey so I'm at a wedding right now...

"Why are you calling me at a wedding?"

"Because...just listen. So I'm at a wedding, but I've been texting Corbyn. Something doesn't seem right with him. I'd go check on him but I can't right now, do you think you could swing by his place?"

"Yeah for sure. But what do you mean something doesn't seem right?" I began pulling out of Jacks driveway and driving to Corbyns house.

"I don't know. He's just acting weird, he seems kinda depressed. I'm worried about him."

"Ok. I'm on my way to his house right now. Text me if anything happens, talk to you later."

"Ok bye."

Now I have two friends to worry about. If anything happens to either of them, I don't know if I could deal with it.

I drove up to the gated community and pulled up the code on my phone to get in.

I drop corbyn off often and so he gave me the code to make it easier for me to get in and out.

I drove up the road of massive mansions until I got to his house.

I rang the bell on the front gate and waited.

"Hello. Name please?" A voice said.

"Skylar Mitchell." I spoke into the intercom.

"Come right in."

The gate unlocked and so I let myself in and walked up to the front door where I was greeted by Corbyn's mom.

"Skylar! It's so nice to finally meet you. Corbyn talks about you a lot. He's so happy to finally have a friend." She greeted me with a hug.

"Speaking of Corbyn, can I see him?" I looked up at the tall lady in heels.

"Oh yes of course, follow me." She lead me into the house and up the grand staircase to Corbyns room.

"Corbyn, someone's here for you." Mrs. Besson stuck her in into his room to inform him before walking back downstairs.

"Knock knock." I said as I stuck my head in his room. It was huge and bright in there.

Corbyn was sitting on his bed, playing on his phone, but he looked up at me and smiled.

"What are you doing here?" He asked as he got up to give me a hug.

"I wanted to come check on you. Daniel said he was worried about you. Are you doing ok?" I asked, holding onto his shoulders, looking into his blue eyes.

"Umm yeah. I'm good." He nodded.

"Why don't we go get some lunch?" I let go of him.

"Ok, that sounds good in starving."

"Great, let's go." I laughed as we raced down the stairs, out to my car.

"Loser gets to pay!" Corbyn yelled as he zipped past me.

"Hey no fair your legs are longer!" I yelled after him as he collided with the car, climbing in the passenger seat by the time I got there.

"Exactly." He chuckled, putting his seat belt on.

We ended up going to get pizza and then picking up Zach.

All three of us just hung out at the park, messing around and having fun until the sun went down, and then we headed to my house for dinner and tv.
