 CHAPTER 2
-Dead to the World-

-We were born an original. Don't die a copy. (John Mason)-

Way back from school, the Chairman's yelling inside the private room can be heard by the entire building. He crumbles the bond of paper he's holding with his fist. "What do you mean you can't contact the Student Council President!? Don't tell me you're trying to cover up for him again!?" He then slams his hands hard on the table as he shouted that in rage.

Sebastian Michaelis sighs. It has been two days since the students gone to hike and hasn't come back. And to add to the Chairman's frustration and anger, the Student Council President or Gin Sakata didn't answer any of their calls. Nor replied back to text messages or emails. Surely, when he comes back, the Chairman will definitely chew him out.

"But seriously, even GPS can't find them all. Just what happened to those students?" He looks outside to watch the chirping birds.

2 Days and 1 night ago...

Mikoto went to the front to see what's going on. He looks at the driver and ready to punch him hard but he stops. "It can't be... The driver is dead." he murmurs.

He immediately leans forward to take over the wheel from the dead driver but he losses balance when the bus turns to the right. Because of that, he didn't managed to grab on to something, or for some reason he can't grab on to anything. The bus' door is mysteriously open too and a strong force of wind is as if grabbing on him and he got pulled out of the bus.

He bumps on his back and rolls six times and stops facing the ground.

"U-Ugh...w-what the hell?" he trembles as he tries to get up but couldn't. It seems like he twisted or broke a bone on his left shoulder when he landed on the ground. He tried to look where the bus is but he can't find it. The bus is gone.

"........?"

He turns around to face the sky and rests a bit. 'Where did the bus go? Did it fell on the river? If that's the case, I'll go down. Or should I call for help?' He's analyzing the situation through his mind as he gets up. And then walk towards the side of the bridge. He knelt down and looks at the river. But he can't see anyone. Or is it too deep that the bus submerged and no longer traces of it could be seen?

That's impossible.

He stands and runs to the other end of the bridge. The mist has gone too. Even though it was so thick just a while ago. And he can almost see the whole place. But... he can't believe of what he's seeing right now. Just where in the world is this place?

"No trace of life anywhere... It's like this place was abandoned by the people." He glances from left to right while on his guard. It might be the doing of bandits or some hiding latent criminals. Firstly, he needs to find a way to get to the river side. When he looked at the construction of the bridge from the river a while ago, he found out that its a cliff and there are no hanging bridges to connect to the river.

He's like a stranded person in a movie. That he can't even laugh at.

He saw a storage-like house and runs towards there. In a sneaking way of each body movements, he opens the door which weren't locked and slips inside. He looks around the dark and dusty room with thick spiderweb and searches for ropes and some blades that he can use. Rummaging through all of the old huge boxes.

And then he felt someone else's presence inside the storage that he stops from what he's doing. He frowns and looks behind him...to the walls, ceiling and to the door. Or must be just his imagination. And maybe the people in this place has already noticed him or them. And they're planning at scaring him.
