CHAPTER 14
“The Sudden Intrusion”

“What's happening? The river suddenly went up!” Oga said and ran away from the water.

He was right. The level of the water has gone up. They can't stay at the riverside anymore and so they all picked up their stuffs and went back to the car.

“We couldnt even connect to anyone inside that town. Nobody's picking up and what more, I couldn't sense them.” Dazai sighed.

A few minutes later, it started pouring.

“What should we do now? We can't go back empty-handed--”

“What are you talking about?! Going back? We rushed here to save them!” Maka said angrily at Ikoma.

“We can't do anything! You should know that already!” Ikoma said back.

Maka snapped and almost grabbed Ikoma's collar but everybody stopped when a lightning striked near where the car was.

“Mattaku! Fighting among yourselves again, konno buta yaro?! Hmpt.”

And there goes the entry of the highest being of AAW Academy.

“C-Chairman Hawk-sama?!” The students shouted in unison.

"Souda! It's me!" The chairman stomped on his foot.

"Chairman Hawk-sama, what are you doing here? And who are these people with you?" Confused Ikoma asked.

The pig--I mean,,, the chairman stomped his foot once again before he answered. With his eyes glinted against the light, he said, "Idiots! You don't even know these people?! I've been telling you that from the start!"

'Since WHEN??' The students' again asked in unison. But just in their minds.

"Chairman Hawk-sama is seriously here. With him here, we can save everyone now!" Shirou said on the side.

Maka pouted and looked away.

"This is such a disgrace. And for a Student Council Member to be the one initiating the fight... Are you kids?" The only woman among the people who appeared with the Chairman said.

Maka flinched but she didn't say anything back. Instead, she clenched her fist.

"Maybe the situation isn't as serious after all. Chairman, you're wasting our time."

"Eh?! Nandatto?! Idiots! You can't go back yet! Since you guys are here, I'm gonna make you work to the bones! Go solve the problem now and I'll let you off for always ignoring my calls for two years!" Chairman Hawk-sama's skin went bloody red.

The seven students with her ignored that and all went towards the flooding river. And the students inside the car only watched them.

"Obito, destroy the barrier and take us inside. This really is a work of a Level E demon." Akashi ordered.

"Hey, are we all gonna do this? I think one person can do this alone, right?" Rize asked.

"......" Itachi paused and then looked back to where the other students were. "Those kids can do this task too. They're probably not just using their own abilities because they're bounded by the school laws."

Akashi closed one of his eyes. "That's true. In the first place, this shouldn't have happened if only they used it." He opened his eyes again. "But I admire their loyalty to our school rules."
