It was only for a moment, but she thought her life was over. That very moment she've never imagined that would happen. That split moment and everything was game over.

But she was saved. Saved by a big hand that grabbed her wrist before she fell completely to her waiting death. Her death didn't happen, and she looked up to the guy who barely caught her. It was Mikoto Suoh.

"M-Mikoto!" Her tears swelled, falling from her eyes and she cried. "I-I thought I was gonna die... thank goodness. You saved me."

Mikoto pulled her up and she then wrapped herself in his arms. She cried on his chest and didn't want to let go anymore.

It's the first time she did such an act. The first time she felt at loss and just want to be protected.

Mikoto blushed but responded to her feelings, giving her a tighter hug as if saying that he also wouldn't let go.

Nao gripped on Mikoto's shirt as she snuggled more into his hard and broad chest. "W-Where were you... hic. Don't leave me alone... I thought... you came with us... to act as a bodyguard?"

Mikoto pulled away a bit to look at Nao's crying face. He held her face by the palm of his hand and caresses her. Both anger and worry was written all over his face as he stared at her. "I don't have any excuses but I'm sorry for taking so long. From here on out, I won't leave you, Nao." he sincerely said.

Nao cried even more like a mess as she nodded. "N-Nn..."

Mikoto sighed in relief and lowered his face to gently kiss Nao's lips, since no one is around to see it.

Unbeknownst to the two, there was another person who also went to find and save Nao, but she stayed hidden halfway the stairs and decided not to butt in since she was late for 0.2 seconds.

Isla's point of view:

"I wonder if she was able to find Nao." She said while hiding with Kagerou behind a big rock. The rock might be on the south part of the town. They can't tell the precise location since they haven't went to look at the whole place yet.

Kagerou looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "What? Is something the matter?"

She shook her head and smiled. "Nothing at all. I'm just talking to myself."

"Hmm." He just said and went back to watching their surroundings, since no one can tell when that black thing would appear.

"By the way, that black thing... What is that exactly?" Isla asked when she felt bored sitting.

"Indeed. Must be something beyond scientific explanation." Kagerou sat back beside her and grabbed her hand.

"When will you remove that lame mask?" she asked again.

Kagerou laughed before answering, but he dodged the question by trying to change the topic. "Fuahahaha! Gin was so cool a while ago. But I won't do anything reckless like that! Fuahahaha!"

"When will you remove that lame mask, Kagerou?"

"Hmm?" he stared at her while feigning innocence.
