Zeref's Past

We both were clashing against one another for almost an hour. Zeref then stopped and sighed heavily before releasing another dark beam blast. "It seems that my strongest Spriggan 12 has already been defeated along with the remaining Spriggan 12 members. Oh...she's dead too." I stopped after dodging away the blast ahead, sliding down the ground. I couldn't feel master's presence any longer. Don't tell me something has happen to her. Then I got hit by one of Zeref's attack the moment he dashed up against me.

"Since I'm the last one standing, I won't allow anyone else mess my plans. I will use time magic to turn back to the world that was once better than this. You all will be able to live in peace." I grunted giving him a hit on his face. "You really think that we'll live in peace, what's the point? All you wanted is to go back to time before you were cursed. Think about it, if you turn back time, there would be some side effect, maybe some one of us won't even exists anymore. Plus, wouldn't you feel lonely after everything you have done?" Zeref head banged against mine. "I don't need your foolish talk about it! It was my decision to make!"

I gripped his hand pinning him to the ground but he somehow managed to escape within few seconds and gave me the hit from the back. "I won't lose to you!" I grunted hitting him hard at his head. "I won't give up so easily!" Both of us started to hurt each other, new wounds keep appearing and soon they were gone, healed fully. At one point, I became restless and did four attacks in one go making sure I got him at every part of his body. Soon enough Zeref's body was covered in blood and he dropped to the ground.

I panted falling on my knees on the ground, taking some rest. I can't be just sitting here, he can still fight after all this while. I looked at my bloody palms seeing Zeref's blood slowly diffusing into steam. "As I said..." He spoke out softly struggling to stand back up his feet. "No matter how many punches you pull I'll be still invincible, you can't hurt me Jellal just the same as I to you."

He came over blasting his flames all over my body.. I hissed feeling my skin getting burned. His eyes were cold, blistering red. "You'll never understand me, the way people treated me all this time...you wouldn't know how I felt. They deserve to die that time, unforgivable..."

We fought and fought until the two of us were the only ones remained. I sighed in relief taking off my flames away. "Guess the only enemy that's left is my brother...sigh...I just don't understand him sometimes, he's getting way too emotional." Gray came over to my side, still standing. "I'm sure Jellal would be able to beat some sense into him, although I have a feeling he might kill your brother." I knew everything once both Gray and Jellal said when I met them. I remembered Jellal mentioned that it was his mission to defeat Zeref and the only way is to kill him. I looked up to the night sky seeing the stars, "If you don't mind, I would like to talk something about my brother..." Gray looked at me at first before sitting down beside me. "What you want to say about your brother..."

"Well, it all started when he turned fourteen at that time. It was a perfect day and I was really enjoying the vacation where my father brought us there. We were just sitting by the beach staring at the wide blue ocean, feeling the breeze until they came..." Gray raised his eyebrow, "Who came?"

I rest my arms on my knees sighing heavily before continuing the story of my brother's past. "The magic council. I was ten at that time, not knowing anything about my parents. All I knew was they were planning to take away my parents, putting them to jail for the crimes they have made. I didn't know what they have done but I saw my brother was trying his best confronting the soldiers and one of the magic counsellors, named Lahar...."
