Proposal and blessing

After helping with the garden that morning, Leia was exhausted and took a seat on a close stone bench. Removing her thick gardening gloves she admired the beauty surrounding her home. It has been years her garden didn't look as it was now. Han went on a business trip to Corellia and wanted Leia to accompany him but as usual, she preferred the commodity of their home. She remembered a young Kylo running around the garden followed by Chewie who would tackle him to the ground. His laugh was everything for Leia, especially when Chewie licked his small face. Kylo was her heart and she regretted the times they spent apart. 

He was doing fine lately and keeping up with his therapy according to Rey. The girl was just like her, very strong willed and tough. Perhaps that was the reason both women weren't getting along. When Leia met Han for the first time, he was not of the same social status as her family. Han was hard working and had so many goals in life to fulfill. He then finished college and was ready to build a career. These qualities about Han made a young Leia fall in love with him immediately. Kylo probably saw it on Rey too. Her son was happy by the girl's side and that's what Leia wanted. 

It was time to talk with Rey and apologize for the harsh way she treated her back in Chandrila. Leia was going to see Kylo that same week and work things out with the young couple. With a soft smile on her face, she stood up and made Chewie follow her back inside the home.

Finn was determined to marry Rose and move out with her after graduation. Things between them got better with each date. Last night, Rose couldn't take it anymore and kissed him after years of not having any contact with Finn. Both promised each other that nothing would stand in their way and just like old times, they loved each other spending the night together. Rey called him that day to give him the exciting news of her engagement to Kylo. Apparently, there wasn't any wedding date yet for Kylo and Rey, but that motivated the college student to propose to his girl. 

Getting inside a jewelry store, he was shown a variety of engagement rings. A lot of them were extremely expensive but only one caught his attention. It was a single diamond surrounded by small ruby stones. The price was decent and Finn opted for that one. He also got Rose a necklace that matched with the ring. 

That night, he was going to ask the question and surprise her. Finally, happiness engulfed both him and Rey. Finn even thought about celebrating both weddings at the same time. Rey was like the sister he never had. 

"My mother is coming tomorrow," Kylo inform Rey who was washing the dishes that late afternoon while he was sitting at the table. 

Rey pretended that didn't bother her and kept washing a single plate. "Oh, really? At what time?"

"In the morning. Han Solo is out of town so she decided to speak to us." Kylo answered sipping from his glass of water. 

Grabbing another dirty plate, Rey was unsure of what to tell her fiance. Leia didn't like her and blamed her for what happened to Kylo back at the club. "What if she.. insults me again?" 

Kylo looked at Rey who was still with her back to him. He knew Rey tried to work things out with his mother and that she got slapped in return. If only he could help reconcile both women. "Rey, we still don't know my mother's intentions. Also, I won't let her treat my future wife like that."

"I don't have anything against her, Kylo." She confessed finishing the last fork. "Actually, I wish we could both talk things out and be close again. Leia welcomed me with open arms and that's something I can't ignore."
