When Hope Seems Gone
There is nothing sadder than to look into the eyes of someone who has lost all hope! Without “hope,” there’s really no reason to get up in the morning, to go about your daily duties or even to function at all. People without hope go through the motions of “living,” and are in constant misery. But praise the Lord there is no reason why anyone should live without “hope,” because Jesus IS your hope! Because of Christ’s sacrifice on Calvary, hope reigns eternal! There’s no need to live in darkness and despair, walking around with a dejected look on your face because - Jesus is the answer! When you give your life over to Him -. You can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God has a bright future planned for you - living with Him in heaven for all eternity! It just doesn’t get better than that! The Bible says in Isaiah 40:31, “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” And you can claim God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” What a wonderful, merciful and loving God!
