Chapter 2

Maya's POV

"Shit," I said out loud. I never expected Karma to be the first I'd meet. I stood up from where I fell. "That's rude, seeing that we just met," Karma said, looking at me. "Please; it's not like your any better to anyone..." I mumbled to myself. He looked shocked but regained his composure and smiled at me with his signature smirk.

"Miss, do you know me?" Karma asked. "Who?" I said, acting clueless. "Me," Karma answered. "You?" I answered back. "Me," Karma said to me, more irritated than before. I smirked and stared at him in the eye. "Maybe..." I said and walked away from him. I suddenly realized that what I did was stupid. ' Why did I say maybe when he asked if I knew him? ' I mentally scolded myself for being stupid during my first interaction with a famous character. 'He wasn't as bad as I thought he'd be.' I thought.

"Miss, do you know me?" Karma asked. "Who?" I said, acting clueless. "Me," Karma answered. "You?" I answered back. "Me," Karma replied to me, irritated. I smirked and stared at him in the eye. "Maybe..." I said and walked away from him. I suddenly realized that what I did was stupid. ' Why did I say maybe when he asked if I knew him? ' I mentally scolded myself for being stupid during my first interaction with a famous character. 'He wasn't as bad as I thought he'd be.' I thought.

"You must be the new student; I'm Tadaomi Karasuma. Follow me to my office." Karasuma-Sensei said. I walk right behind him and waved Nagisa goodbye. He leads me to the faculty room of the building. He offered me a seat and pulled a briefcase out; placed it in his lap. "This classroom is no ordinary classroom; this is the Assassination Classroom," he said.

He handed me a paper from the desk with information about Koro-Sensei. "He is your target but also your teacher. Assassinate him using these weapons." He said, opening the briefcase in his lap. It had all the weapons in the anime. A pistol with anti-Koro-Sensei bullets and the anti- Koro-Sensei hand knife. My eyes sparkled at the objects before me. I never thought I'd own an authentic set of weapons. I stood up and bowed at him. "I won't disappoint you, Sensei!" I exclaimed with determination.

"This is the first student I've seen so enthusiastically receive a knife and gun," Irina-Sensei said by the door. I looked at her with the same sparkle in my eyes. I felt my energy surge through the roof, thinking about the cute marriage proposal Karasuma-Sensei gave Irina-Sensei. "The names Irina Jelavić, Nice to meet you," She said. "I'll bring you to your class; follow me," He said and led me out of the faculty room. Karasuma-Sensei entered the classroom and announced my presence. 'Kaya mo too! (You can do it!)' I told myself in my native language. As soon as Karasuma-Sensei called me, I entered the classroom with confidence.

I stopped in front of the class and smiled brightly. "Hi, my name is Maya Chi! I hope we all get along," I said. I looked at the familiar faces of the class, 'new school, new me,' I said to myself. "Welcome to E-Class Maya. I hope we get along Nufufu~ ". I turned around and saw the most familiar face out of all of them. "Hello Koro-Sensei, I hope we get along!" I said, offering him a handshake. He seemed worried about my hand thinking I might have pulled the same trick as Karma. "It's alright, see there's nothing," I said, showing him my empty hand. He calmed down and took my hand to shake it. I took the opportunity and pulled him into a hug.

Everyone was surprised, seeing that I just hugged him. "WOW! You're as squishy as I thought you would," I said, hugging him tightly. "I have no intention of killing you just yet, Koro-Sensei," I said with a smile and sat on a seat that wasn't yet occupied by anyone.

As lunch started, people started to crowd over me, asking me various questions.

"Maya, what are your hobbies?"

"Maya! Where are you from?"

"How did u end up in E-Class?"

"Are you Single?"

"Woah! Calm down, people. I'll answer your questions," I said with an awkward smile. "I like singing and playing on my guitar. I came from the Philippines. I enrolled late, so they put me here; I'm sadly single," I said, answering all their question. "Maya... you haven't answered my question yet." I turned to see that Karma, looking at me with a smirk.

"You haven't answered the question I asked you a while ago," He repeated what he said. "I already told you my answer," I said, turning my back on him. "I'm asking nicely here. Or would you prefer another method to get you to talk?" Karma said before walking closer to me. "If the method is academics, you better get your grades checked," I said to him, challenging him. "Last time I checked, they were some of the highest on campus." He said, thinking he'd won. "Not for long tho," I whispered in his ear.

I got up from my seat and approached Koro-Sensei. "Koro-Sensei, meet me by the cliff. I want to ask some questions." I said, smiling at him. "Sure, I would love to see your first assassination attempt," Koro-Sensei said. I bowed at him and left the classroom.

While waiting for Koro-Sensei to arrive, I started to absorb my surroundings. 'I'll be here for quite a while. Better get used to it.' I told myself. I looked at what's in front of me, the cliff where a sturdy lone branch hangs and the forest below it. "Hello Maya, it's very nice to see you again, but class is about to start," Koro-Sensei said. "I have a few questions I would like you to answer," I said with a smile on my face. Koro-Sensei tensed; he wasn't used to how I smile.

"You consider yourself as a teacher, right?"
